I like my Growlab 4x4. I need another one for my moms/clones/teens, too.
From what I know - don't buy the ones with the white material inside, it'll gas your plants. When I was shopping I came to the conclusion the Growlab, Secret Jardin, and Homebox were the only ones worth getting. My Growlab's pretty light-proof, just gotta make sure the velcro's attached all the way if you use the windows, and with a roll of velcro tape you can make it light-proof enough to even be kept in a used room.

My biggest problem with em is that they all seem to use plastic elbow joints. I had planned on hanging my filter inside it, but I'm not gonna trust my 50lbs of reflector and filter hanging above my babies with some plastic joints. And on that same note, the Growlab's pretty wobbly, which I'm sure they all are cuz of the plastic joints. If you're buying from your local hydro shop, order some extra cross-members (4 recommended) no matter what brand you settle on, that way you can sturdy it up. I need to take my own advice on that :D

Id recommend getting one big enough to allow yourself distance between your fans and your plants. Air flow can get tricky in tents once they get crowded. Ive had plants grow right into the fans and they got wind dried/burned. Not much harm, but it certainly isnt beneficial to the plants.

the two hydrofarm lighthouse 4x4 tents i use have been nothing but stellar for me,its so nice to be able to create an instant space for breeding use or stashing extra plants,i even use one as a drying tent with its own carbon filter.they have all metal frames, and easily supported a hydrofarm radiant reflector plus a 6x20 carbon filter and 6 inch vortex fan.aside from the occasional zipper frustration i have no complaints, they arent 100% light tight, but i just keep them in a dark room..

I have one DR150 and two DR150II's.

I like the fact that they are all in one room and they can all be on separate light/dark times. Being able to do that allows me a lot of flexibility. They make hanging things easy.

I don't like having to work in confined space and that's exactly what a tent forces you to do unless you can pull all of your plants out or you have a massive tent. I have 3x3 tables in each of them (my tents are 5x5), so that allows me about 1 foot between the wall of the tent and the table to crawl around. It's a huge pain in the ass.

Secret Jardin did some things right and some things wrong when they released the "upgraded" DR150II. I like the 10" ducts a lot. Being able to run insulated 6" or 8" straight out is a big plus. I also run a 10" duct in for passive air intake. All made possible by moving from 6" duct ports to 10" duct ports. They kind of cheaped out in two ways: they removed one vent from the back of the tent and removed one crossbar from the top. Having 3 instead of 4 crossbars makes a big difference.

Over the next couple of months I'll be breaking down two of my tents and making a room. That will allow me to upgrade to 4x4 tables, have overlap in the lights, and give me a lot more room to work around the girls.

Hey everyone thanks alot for your feedback. Certainly good info to consider.

Thanks again and if anyone else has any opinions it would be appreciated will probably look at a 4x4 or so to keep moms and clones in. Again thanks

I have bought brand and generic and they all work the same HOWEVER the key is locating the tents that have the "inner hanger bars" that have metal ends and not those shitty clip on plastic end pieces. I am talking about the 2 bars that you can adjust within the middle that you would hang your lights and or scrubbers from NOT the side end caps that can be metal or plastic.

I can't find a pic online but if I find my broke piece I will take a pic so you know what I am talking about BUT those plastic "c" clamp plastic pieces that are on the end of the "hanger poles" will end up heating up within the tent and slowly stretching out and then snapping off which then leads to your light hitting the floor OR your plants whichever comes first.

Some tents have zipper problems and ALL have light leaks but I have never had any cause any hermies as I stand INSIDE all my tents and then tape up any larger holes or until I get bored of doing it LOL.

My solution to fixing them...
1/2 conduit strap, with 3/4 bolt,nut,& washer.
took me about 10 minutes to do all six.
