What would your dream cross be and why?

Im a breeder and always trying to get ideas for crosses that could be the holy grail strain. I like parents that each bring something unique to that strain that makes it stand out.

Usually, what I look for in parents are:

1. Effect
2. Looks (lets face it, most people want beautiful buds to grow and smoke)
3. Unique Smell/taste
4. Potency

Any ideas are appreciated :tiphat:

Something like Blueberry x Girl Scout Cookies with a long lasting Indica high that's good for pain relief, but yields at least twice as much as cookies.

I think that would be an ultimate Indica strain for me.

The Cannalope sativas I just grew were sweet and tasty and had a really good sativa high, but I like Mango flavor more and would have liked the high to last longer.

That would be an ultimate Sativa for me, the high was perfect and no paranoia just wish it lasted longer like some Sativas.

I never asked for any cuts. I have the network to get whatever I want. There are a lot of strains out there that are great that I haven't grown yet so Im not familiar with them. I like to know what other people like and why and I don't apologize about that.

That does sound interesting. I crossed a blueberry by DP with DJ Shorts blueberry. The DP blueberry was nice and had good bulk but DJ's was a bit nicer quality but lower yield. I wanted to find a pheno with more of DJ's smell/taste but DPs yield. I still have those seeds and I have a thin mints GSC. I think I'll put that on my list to do within the next couple runs. "Blueberry Cookies" :)

I have never grown or smoked kryptonite but a buddy of mine grew a lot of it. I'll have to ask him about it.

There is a kryptonite og out there that is exactly that cross and I heard it was good.

Fair enough. Just seems an odd approach for someone that is claiming to be a breeder...

Most of the time breeders have already established a unique set of plants they want to work with or refine after years of experience in having grown a very wide range of "elites" and various seed lines...

Often times along the way finding their own elite selections to contribute to the pool of isolated keepers which get shared and confirmed as being special by the community at large...

Just seems like a very...backwards approach. To each their own. Carry on. :joint:

I think by saying he is a 'breeder' he means he understands the mystical art of pollen chucking........

a 'skill' that only the most gifted individuals can grasp. :redface:

Not sure why some might view asking others in the community what they like as a negative thing. For years, the first thing I ask growers when I meet them is what they have liked growing the best and what do they like about it. I might have sought out maybe 1% of the genetics people mention but some of that 1% were valuable additions to the stable. I have never been too proud to ask for people's input and it has worked well for me.
Heres how I "pollen chuck": I'll make a cross if it sounds interesting and pop 100 seeds of the cross. I toss the runts and take clippings of the ones that look the best. If the cross looks good, I toss it. If it turns out great, I take it to F2 and F3.
I had not previously thought of doing a Blueberry/Thin mint GSC cross but I bet many growers would agree that something interesting might come out of 100 seeds. I mentioned I do some breeding as a matter of disclosure.

Apparently there is already Blue Cookies and its Indica dominant and a heavy hitter.

Just googled it and saw it on leafly...lol

I have no idea who offers it nor am I affiliated with anyone.
