I've smoked some nice master kush back in the day, not sure if it was the HK x HK or HK x Sk. If I had to guess it was probably from Nirvana.

With all things equal, AK-47 will have a better taste, but much lower THC content than Master Kush. As MJPassion said, grow both and make a salad once the flowers are dried and cured. That way, you get the best of both worlds, and more importantly, the high will be more interesting with the different types of terpenes.

I think there are two versions of Master Kush, one being Hindu Kush x Hindu Kush (Sensi Seeds/White Label), the other one is Hindu Kush x Skunk (Nirvana).

Haven't grown either version of Master Kush, nor smoked any. Have smoked AK 47 once in Amsterdam (Coffeeshop Kadinsky), but it was nothing special.

I keep an AK47 for her intense fuely skunky profile. IME my AK is a medium/low yielder with high THC, early finisher indoors and about half way into Oct. outdoors.

Heard some hate on MK from different growers for different reasons (low THC, bland profile) but I have smoked some super premium MK from one grower in particular that was super stinky (baby poo?), flavorful and potent... pretty much a 10/10. but that was a unique experience with that strain. I also am partial to Hindu Kush...

Both strains are great imo.

In 2016 I wouldn't want to smoke either of them. If I could go back in time, it would be ak47. Back then it was a little unstable, you would get a little of this and that but it was dank. Now it's been so over-worked and lost it dank, it's tang, it's funk and is just a big leafy bud imo. Overworked strains doesn't mean they get better.

cherry pheno ak is good shit and does yield better than master kush....yeehaw..the ak will be better tasing but the master will be more potent...

I had both but in small batches. Smoke wise I would go with AK-47 mostly but the Master Kush was no slouch also. Worthy of being mentioned with strains of more popularity. Grow wise it would be the MK in this day and age, AK has seemed to lose something along the way. Take care 1
