Okay people.... heres the scenario...

Just moved to stay with family in a new town. Been here about 6 months and settling in.

Now , I have fallen in love with my brothers, best friends ex. They are still in contact because they had a kid together. They have been apart for 9 months now and there is basically no chance of any reconcilliation between them. This I am 99.99999 % sure and there is tons of stuff to support this.

I told my brother. He, being my family ,supports me 100% whatever I decide to do.

Would you guys go ahead with it and start seeing her?? Am I being a scum bag?

I do now the ex , but he is a good 5 years older then me and we dont exactly party together or whatever. I know she likes me and I have made it clear that I am crazy about her... just wondered what you guys think. I have tried to ignore it , delete her number etc. but she contacts me and when I see her I just feel unbelievable.

Okay, so it's not your brother's ex, but your brother's best friend, and your brother does not have a problem with it. I think you're okay, the fact that you're seeking advice b/c you don't want to step on toes, kinda shows you are not a scum bag. Because they have a kid together, makes me think you should prolly not rub it in anyone's face, you don't want to create conflict with children involved IMO. If you have real feelings for her and she does for you, then I don't see a problem with you two hooking up, just don't scream it from the mountain tops until you're sure it's the real deal.
