Say you had a room that you just happened to have 2 600w HPS lights hanging in and that room was 6X4 or 6X5(which ever would be better) how many plants would you put in there? In what size pots? I was thinking about 6"round pots(i think they are about 6X10"approx[1gal?]) Would also like to pull half out every 4 weeks, and put more back in. How long would i let said plants veg after cutting? Ive been putting em in 3 weeks after i stick em. but arent really getting the roots id like. thanx alot

Are we talking freshly rooted clones In 6" pots?

For the perpetual harvest (a la SOG) i'd only give them a day or 3 vegging.
For 6"'ers that would be perfect i.m.o.

If you were vegging for 3 weeks you'd be looking at much bigger pots ~ triple the size and more ( 3 gal+)

How many?

....about 24 - 30 plants in 6" pots per light.

my 2c's worth.

i mean i take the cuttings and root em in small cups and then transplant into the pots and put them on 12/12 all in 3 weeks, clip stick pot flip

prob have roots by the end of first week or so, hope this is clearer

ah,,,, gotcha.

Do you use any additives such as Rhizotonic? Thats excellant for promoting root growth.

I use Cannazym and Rhizotonic and the only problem i usually get is the roots outgrowing the pots too fast ~ in 8" pots and the same sort of time scale.

With those lights, I would veg a dozen plants for 40 days and then flower them in 5 gallon pails. I have a similiar setup....

Id go wtih either a massize SOG in 2 gallon pots or big ass fully vegged plants in 5 gallon containers.

i was thinking SOG, but watering would become an issue. with a thick canopy it would be hard to reach into all the pots for hand watering. (any ideas here) And i def would like more plants that are smaller than a few that are big.
