Alright. Working on my first grow here. Started with 18 clones, including 9 strains (2 of each). Two used 400w ballasts and used bulbs. Some crap ferts I haven't even used. I've got them on 18/6. Planted in Maricle Grow organic soil. No ferts at all yet. Mix and match size pots from like 1-4 gallon.

It's been 4 weeks now. Four of the clones crapped out and never grew. Some others are growing great, however a few have some signs of bad health such as tiny spots on there leaves and things. They range in height from 8"-1' at this point. The clones were tiny to start.

So my question is this. I don't think 800w of light(with crap tinfoil reflectors) is enough to bud out 14 plants. So what should I do. I could toss some of them, and try to get the really choice ones to keep growing. Or I could put them on 12/12 soon, unload some of my yield, and use the cash to buy the stuff I need. However, I dont think Id get much of anything off of 8" tall plants. So what do you guys think? Also, if I keep them growing for a while I think I need to start adding ferts. I need suggestions on brands/dosage.

Ill post some pics in a few. Thanks in advance.

Spots, plus this one has several leaves with only 3 fans. Dunno what its deal is.

This has been growing and splitting better than any of the others. If I do end up putting them into flower, I may save this one and make clones (gotta figure out how to do this).

Just a garden shot.

Small "spots" like that are more than likely from bugs.

Better look them over REAL GOOD for tiny stuff & hit the Infirmary section.

The Miracle Grow may be the culprit.

sucks for you.
if you got spidermites, your in for a long battle.
i hope you get rid of them.
they can and will murder your whole crop.
most dangerous bug there is imo

Alright I looked and yup. So heres my plan.

Im gonna get something and spray these little bastards till there dead. Once thats dealt with Im gonna say fuck it and go to 12/12. Im pulling my best plant out and gonna make 6 clones out of it. This will be my next crop.

So, between now and then any "must haves" I need to get. Will 6 plants do ok under my 2 400w MH's? Looking at some T5 fixtures. Got an eye on a 10 bulb 4' fixture with built in fans and nice reflectors. (Meant for a coral reef aquarium). Any other input is great.

If I remember correctly this is 9 plants under 800 mixed spectrum 1-400HPS 1-400 MH. 6 may have been a better choice. But they all did very well considering my growing experience. Both lights were in a single reflector I modded.

15.5 oz dry and another 2oz of fluffy little hash buds.

you need to get rid of the bugs first.
if you have alot of em, it wont be a one and done spray deal.
it might take ya a few weeks to kill em off.
your best bet, ime, is to take cuttings of everything you want to keep.
treat the cuts and get rid of the infested moms.

Well, i think a big part of my growth problem is bad soil. They are in 100% Maricle grow organic. After talking to a few friends I think Im gonna treat for bugs (they were only bad on that one plant so it shouldnt be too bad) and transplant into good soil. I plan on doing 1 bag Maricle Grow Organic, 1 bag "Pro-Mix", 1 cup blood meal, 1 cup bone meal, 1/2 cup dolimite lime, 15% chunky pearlite. Transplanting into 3 gal bags and seeing if they take off.

How long did you veg yours though? Mine have been under MH's for a month and are only like 1' tall. =/

Vegged 3 weeks. I flipped those at about 16". I was also growing in an ebb and flow with no bug problems and plenty of food. They finished at about 48".

I would go with Cocktail franks advice myself.
