What would be optimal spacing for lights?

Running a flower room 6ft by 10ft with a 7.5ft ceiling and currently have 2 600w HPS in cooltubes and 2 600w mars hydro blurbles and I think I put my lights way to close together but also I have roughly another 2ft I use as a walkway that I could be using

Pretty much just want to know how I should reposition my current lighting or what lighting I should upgrade to, top tier LED are way out of my budget but I will take everything into consideration (including buying better now to avoid needing to upgrade again)

Here's the lights, other LED is opposite side across

Might need to sketch the room for us. Will the tank also need space, and what system are you using. The ceiling is high, so you could work up on tables, or have loft space above. I can't look at lighting layout until I see the grow space though. To look at kit placement, access and lighting footprints.

It's hard to say without knowing the footprint of each light and how you plan to have things laid out. Not knowing these things my answer would be to set them such that they most effectively cover the entire growing area to be used with their combined footprints. Keeping in mind that where they overlap that area will get the greatest impact so if your plans allow for them to overlap then space them such that the overlapped area covers the most amount of your grow area as possible without any plant being outside of either footprint.

Hey buddy. were you still using the marsII 1600? :whee: We have stopped producing this light. There are a lot of new lights now. Latest LED tech and design.
For your situation, pls have a look at our FCE-4800, which can replace 600W HPS light. Higher and more uniform PPFD than HPS. Lower heat output.

Yes like 7 years old at least, I invested in a rotary light mover because it's cheaper than new LED but I will upgrade soon enough, after pricing either upgrading to 1k lights vs LED getting the mover seemed to be best option until I can save enough.

Currently the 4 plants are in a square under the lights with top fed Coco DTW, my plan is to get a few mother plants going and get a harvest per month, probably aiming for 1ft tall before flower and I'm experimenting with DWC individual buckets which is working but building the initial root mass is very slow on these revegging clones, with the rotating lightmover I will pretty much just center it and reconfigure everything from there and that will sort my current issues and give me options
