what will happen to the price of marijuana in Colorado when it's (state) legal?

So what is the price of a 10 pack in of decent indoor in Colorado. Back east we are hearing reports of 1600$ a lb. Is this a reality? Seems really really low for indoor. This stuff is flooding the market here for 3600lb driving the prices of local lbs down to 4200 from 4500-4800 just two years ago?

No it is not a reality, you are likely seeing good outs and greenhouse that pass for ins to you eastern folk, pretty standard.

Douglas County is making the news today as not allowing any commercial grows.
Old news...
Don't worry... once all the money goes to the surrounding counties, they'll be changing their tune.
It will be amazing in a few years... if there are still commercially 'dry' counties in Colorado. You'll be driving along, people waving to you and smiling and then you'll cross a county line... nothing but frowns and irritation until you cross the next one.

Funny how the legalization, just didn't solve all the problems, it seems.

I don't get this comment? You mean it didn't solve the problem of ignorance overnight? LOL

Maybe for the next year or so much of the weed shipped east from the west coast will start to dry up because of increased demand in Wash and Colo. I think your average joe blow street dealer in the new legal states has to be moving way more than in the past. If it takes those states a long time to get their shit together or they set the taxes too high there could be a crazy black market demand there.

There are certainly well established black market coast to coast set-ups that will keep running.

If you make a living driving weed from cali to the east you might be able to unload everything in denver and cut lots of risk.

Driving the prices up in the east for a bit maybe???

Cali had a huge harvest this year but I think the demand is going
way up every place in the us this year even in non med states as the big lie crumbles.

New Med states as well, the economy needs weed, some will get rich, probably not the growers.

In Az I have noticed that Oz's have gone from 380 oz for great Chronic to 200 an oz. Looks like the market was smashed. This could be good or bad, not yet sure of the ramifications.

Yes it is flooded back east

Only getting 4 an elbow if I want to convince ppl to stay local. I can only imagine prices continuing to drop.

Too easy for ppl to get cheap craigslist packages, too many fucking trailers being pulled back east from out west. People want to send their herb where the money is, the black market.

im a colo native im old school have been a mmj an caregiver for years colo is no joke if u have a mmj card and do edibles and oils only u can have 8 ozs and grow 24 plants if u a caregiver u can end up growing over 100 plants if u have the red cards to do so for those who think colo is a joke how much herb and pipes can u possess and not get arrested in ur state???? if cops find a pipe up to an ounce u dont get arrest here if ur an adult 21 or older hmmmmmmmmmmm

If they trash that stupid 25 mile rule (can't grow if dispensary is within 25 miles when they are established) then prices should fall to $100 a zip. $200 is still too high especially if it's straight from a grower/caregiver. Dispensaries are a sham or at least operate that way. 126 dispensaries vs thousands of growers, what does supply and demand say to pricing for that crazy implementation?!

If all was right with the feds included, I think all growers should actually be inspected to receive a permit each year. I'd imagine fed law being a deterrent to this being implemented because of paranoia. Problem is too the feds have their foot up so far up their a** I can see their big toe when they open their mouth.

isnt the possession law just for an OZ? and in order to grow it commercially you need licenses.....so wouldnt your standard commercial 20 light grow with no paperwork that moves most of their stuff to the black market, still be technically illegal.

its gonna be the mega warehouses that really shape things..but they cant sell to the black market so will it even affect those prices much?

also depends how much outdoor CO can produce, luckily in WA its hard to grow outdoors due to all the rain and weather, but if CA combines with oregon and CO outdoor the markets gonna be flooded to shit. people are already seeing OD for 1k in CA prices will just continue to crash and crash...even though at the moment OD seems to hold steady at 15-16 in CA for anything good, sure alot of crappy cheap mids around that i cant believe people even pay to smoke that crap.

If your sitting on a 100 pack...it'l go to wherever you can. Its a financial imperitive. Any 'mega' anything deals with that...and is the reality of it now. Bigger aint better. Some peeps never looked at the population numbers nor reasoned out the expected market share... So now they do what the numbers force them to do...and spending 40k every month on overhead means ya have to do some shit.

the price of a product can never fall below what it takes to maintain growing it at a profit

in any publicly sold commodity

this will be no different

from most caregiver and growers i know prices range from 2000 lb top shelf dirt or organic to 2800 lb for medical grade over 20% THC 150.00 to 200.00 oz depending on quality

I'm just not sure I even Care what the 'market price' is.

Decided to grow my own. Costing me somewhere between $20-$30 a month extra for sparks, (indoor growing). So on the High side, $30 x 4mon,,, less than $120 for the run. Hope to bring in 6-8oz... So maybe $20 an oz....... Yep, no market here. lol

I'm good. 2-3 weeks from chop. 2ea Ak47s "smiles everyone"

I would love to start a growers club. Just like the Home Brew clubs around here. Sharing, learning and buying bulk supplies together.

The nice tasting parties, all without the worry of the blue meanies kicking in the door.

Growing and selling multi-packs is still going to be federally risky, never been my bag anyway.
The price will drop for locals in CO. and stay at current gangster prices for the rest of the non med USA.

All I want is to be left the hell alone.

I need to go West.

Amen Stranger... Amen. That sounds good to me.:tiphat:
