What to expect flowering with a SWT3 @ 30"

Hi all,

I have a Sweet Tooth #3 that is 4 months old now and 30+ inches tall. I am juuust about ready to start the flower hut up. It is a hydrohut mini with a 600 w hps. The reflector is a Super Sun2, the hut is 6.5 feet tall.

What should I expect in the way of height growth from this beast? I have done only a little lst'ing and topped it early on. Will I be able to keep this in check in your opinions?

Here is a pick taken looking up at it, bad pic but at least you can see the structure of the plant.

P.S. I am using FFOF and it is in a 3 gal bag with plans to go to a 5 gal pot when it goes to flower hut. I feed GH 3 part at EC of .6 to .8. It has been under, scratch that, next to a 250 w MH

Holy Crap!!

That's gonna be a yielder....

Sorry I don't have any answer, but sure am curious myself....

Largest yielding single plant I had, was couchlock, vegged for 15 weeks, and flowered at just over 3ft tall..... ended up not quite 4.5ft and yielded over 7 ounces.... in a GH hydrofarm/waterfarm

Looks very indica dominant to me,I just went through a 3 gal "quarter pounders with trich's" grow and I wouldnt expect that plant to finish at over 4 ft tall, probably right around 4 ft.Keep the lights as close as possible the first 3 weeks during the stretch, then raise it a bit as flowering commences

Thanks! What about it shows indica dom? I do not doubt you, just wanted to know how to spot.

mainly the stocky stature and wide fan leaves.Sativa's have longer more slender leaves and normally grow taller.

Here is a picture of her and her sis from today. The smaller one is a month younger and although her smell has improved quite a bit it has never been as potent smelling as the older one. I've always been impressed with her stink! I am not great at describing what I am smelling but what comes to mind is a sweet/sour coffee tobacco smell. :yummy:

Also, last night, on the bigger one, I pulled apart the two stalks until I felt them give a little. I would think that ultimately will strengthen her although I wanted mainly to see how pliable they will be to lst once I have the room. What do you guys think about that? Good or bad move?

Why did you grow them so big before flower? I'd trim the bottom 1/2 of the plant sicne the 600w will only grow dense nugs so far. I'd expect it to to finish over 4ft. w/ several ounces. Swt#3 is a great yeilder but likes to get moldy inside the thick cola. Keep humidity down and keep the fan blowing strong.

Good luck!

Got the hut completed today! The Eagle flew at Midnight! I am doing the two sisters a clone of the oldest one and a 50 day old Mandala girl from a Safari Mix pack. She has the best odor of the 4 Mandalas that I got.

How many days should I expect the SWT3 to go?

The Mandala is at the front left. I plan to pot them up tomorrow so they're a little dry. I picked up some milk crates :joint: to use to prop up smaller plants to the canopy. They're perfect. Stable, perforated, stackable, air can flow through them as all sides are slatted.
Fired up for first time shortly after this picture was taken. :woohoo:

Mandala is the left front one.

Need to redo the flex duct there.

Man, I'm a newbie and I'm confused.

I thought that plants stretch 2 to 4 times their height when flowering begins. Mine always have. However, I start mine into flowering at 6-8 inches (2 weeks) or 10-14 inches (3.5 weeks).

I have never vegged a plant higher than 15 inches because I worried about height. The sativas that did veg to 15" before flower I had to LST the hell out of to keep them at 5 feet.

I think ST is an indica, so you're lucky there, but isn't this plant going to go over 6 feet without a lot training? I mean, it will at least double in size, right?

Is it that you don't get as much stretch if they have been fully vegged out?

It seems to me that the longer you veg a plant, the less stretch that you will get. Plants that I have vegged for 8 weeks never stretch more than 50% over their pre-flowering height.
