What to buy/setup in grow tent

Hello,

I am going to buy a grow tent, I am thinking the size XXL but I have no idea what grow tent to get, Either Homebox / Bud Box / Secret Jardin.
And also the setup, Do I need a cooltube in there?
I was thinking of getting 2 inline fans hook them up to a digital fan controller for Celsius and humidity. Will this work?
What should I get? Anyone who wanna help a fellow out.

Good choice on going the tent route. You will find peace in their simplicity. You'll need:

Reflector/Ballast/cordset -air cooled or not is your call
Inline fan
Carbon filter
Grow medium
Containers
Fertilizers
Seeds

Hello there Angelus  ,

I've bought from MDHydro before, but they don't have the BEST selection out there. I Forget the exact address for it but if you googled it I'm sure you would find it. Also if you just want to browse some just pop in "Hydro Shop" in google or yahoo ect. and I'm sure tons will come up to browse through! As long as your not ordering to the same address where you will be doing it at your good to go my friend! Hope you have a safe and giving grow this year :rasta:!

Get the best you can afford and avoid ebay, there is a big difference in quality between them.

Although useful they have their limitations. There is a limit to how much weight the 'roof' pole can take, I made a 2 x 2 frame to hold my fan and filter. For the 2nd tent I just fitted the filter in the tent and had the (6") fan outside the tent. I use a variac for speed control and set it so the temps are within range during lights on. You'll probably need some form of heating for lights off or the humidity will go sky high.

For the recirculating air I made little shelves for the clip on fans, a few inches of 3 x 1 screwed to a metal bracket and fastened to the corner poles with jubilee clips. As they grow the fans need to be repositioned so next mod is to fit more shelves at different heights rather than keep moving one shelf.

I think it best to first decide what you want to get from your tent(s) and work backwards from there rather than have a never ending quest for 'more yield'.

An average of 1oz per week from an 8 x 4 tent is easily achievable just doing seed grows and you get to take a break during the summer and new year.

Hi, Thanks great information. But no I am not looking for "huge yields"
I am looking for great weed, so if I have to exchange "yield" for "quality" I will do so. Since I am a 1st grower I don't have high expectation when it comes to my 1st grow. Either in yield or quality. But Hopefully I will get better the next time:D
What I am looking for in a tent that it is easy to assemble - lightproof - a good quality tent I don't know how else to say it. I narrowed it down to 2 choices: Homebox or Bud Box. Secret Jardin was too expensive

Tent will be filled with 2 inline fans (supply/exhaust) with 1 carbon filter.
I am going to use, like you Pharma Geddon a speed controller which I can set temperature and humidity. Having this, I will have total control over the air and won't have to worry about those 2 key elements.
Will Use Hesi nutrient soil.

So anyone have any suggestions.

I too am looking into this . . . have learned that many tents leech the PVC material into your plants.:~( Many deaths!!

Secret Jardin has overcome this & is safe . . . others are unknown!

Be aware of this "leeching"!!! It may save your plants
