What time of day to go 12/12?

I think it is better to do daylight at night and night at day. Better for temp control. Other factors apply, like light leaks and so on.

Right now I'm doing thirteen hours lights on from 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Since the lights are on at night they help heat the room when it's coldest outside. Lights are off when it's hot outside and things might need cooling. This is better for my security too since I can open up the room to work early in the morning and late at night when nobody is going to be knocking at my front door to visit.

A time when you can most easy access the garden helps.
DR knows best. Set them up for your convienice. True day and night work best for me. And well maybe this is just voodoo but I think my gurls can tell whats goin on outside and grow more/better/easier...

I would have to say for best results, first the lights on, and then off.

If heat is an issue, lights on at night is probably going to be your schedy.

If you have a wife or job- or other annoyance, that will direct your schedual, somewhat.

Lights on during the night makes summer temps,, tollerable; a little longer and warms the house for mornings during the winter.

Light leaks at night have gotten people busted.
