what the hell are these

alright I'm settin up my grow right now and these little bugs are crawlin all over the floor. they hop but dont fly and they don't seem to be in the water or anything just on floor. I cant figure out what they are so if any one can help that would be great.

They look a lot like a cockroach from that picture. If the color is off on the picture they could also be wood beetles which are completely black.

They eat any decaying organic matter. Technically they won't harm your plant. Still should deal with them so they dont spread into the house. As they can go from 10 to 1 million in just a couple of months. Did you know that in some cockroaches they only need to be impregnated once, and they can produce spawns every couple of days.

hell those bastards can live through a nuclear winter...... but a can of black flag will kill them

does anyone seem worried by this?!?

I've never heard of black flag but I'll look for it. in the mean time though if anyone else has any suggestions of how to get rid of theses things safely withiut having to take down my system that would be great.

pring tails are common in your area. They are attracted to moisture. Many times, moisture problems in kitchens and baths attract spring tails. Make sure you have leaks fixed and that there are no moisture problems. Use a dehumidifier if possible. Spray the house inside and outside around the entry points and perimeter with

thats bad because if your growing in moisture your bound to get mold or mildew or even powdery mildew.... you dont want that

get a dehumidifier to help get rid of them if that doesnt work get a pest product that will kill them and try to get one that isl ess toxic since your growing plants around that area
