hi all,
can you guys let me know what would be the best smoke to buy and try in amsterdam???

i only want to smoke the best so can you guys please give the name's of the top selling strains and what coffee shop to get it from.

out of 10 strains i will pick what i think is the best for me to grow and will buy 5 packs of the top 5 strains

I´ve just returned from the dam, so check out my "fresh outta amsterdam" thread (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=2039253#post2039253)
I´ve been to Amsterdam about 8 times in the last three to four years and i figured out, that there are alotta tourist traps out there... So dont´t only look at the names on the menue, also take a close look at everything you´re about to buy.

My favourite quality shops are:

Homegrown Fantaseeds
(good organic bud, unfortunately a lot of their gear was sold out after the cannabis cup:-( They usually sell the best Cheese in the Dam!)

Katsu
(Black Widow was one of the strongest indicas i ever smoked, definately only for the expierienced smokers, great `white out`potential!)

Greenhouse
Although a bit pricey they usually sell good quality weed and their menue is one of the biggest in town. You definately got to try the Super Lemon Haze. This was an excellent sativa smoke! It was the first spliff of our trip and after it was finished, we felt like if we had been sitting there for hours! Psychedelic type of high!)

Dampkring
(Big menue and good quality bud, try their nyc diesel if it`s not sold out! G13 x Hashplant is definately a good choice, too! I always buy their rifman hash, `cause its quality controlled and always good for a reasonable price.)

Bushdoctor
(went there on my first trip to amsterdam and their Domina was one of the best smokes i had. Then, when i returned a year ago, they sold me some blueberry, that was average at best. So this time i gave them another chance and caught some amnesia there. That was a awesome smoke!!! Definately in the top two of the hazes!)

Grey Area
My favourite shop! Always good qaulity, very friendly staff and strains, that you won`t find anywhere else. Didn`t manage to visit them on my last trip, `cause we already had too much to smoke...

that bud is waaaaaaay strong, damn near psychedellic, made me feel like i was gonna toss my cookies for a second at one point..

I was in amsterdam in august and the best shop I went to was Amnesia. It's a bit out of the way, ie. not in the redlight district, but if you don't mind walking to the canal ring you wont be disappointed, their bud is amazing. I tried Amnesia Haze which was stupidly potent with a very unique flavour and their Pink Kush which smelled and tasted 'PINK' (sort of like cotton candy but I can't quite place it) and had a nice positive buzz. My buddy picked up some Panama sativa which had one of the most comfortable and mellow sativa highs I have ever experienced, as in there was no anxiety yet I was still completely 'up'. Overall the most professional coffee shop with the best vibes that I visited on my trip, plus they have volcano's so you can't go wrong there.
Oh and lots of people recommended Gray Area which I didn't visit but its very centrally located and from what I heard they have amazing product.
