What strain(s) did you grow on your first grow?

How did you acquire the seeds?

mine was bubblegum and misty, seeds acquired from a friend who was already in the hobby...

bagseeds from white whidow bought in tenerife. sprouted 15 seeds, 13 survived, 5 males, two shemales and six ladys.. the shemales were moved out into mother nature to rot away in the norwegian autumn, while the six ladys yielded about 0,7 gpw, which i was very happy with. the smoke was also very nice. they had a few seeds in them, which i am still keeping in my drawer. have grown a few of them out, but it seems they are "feminized" and mostly go shemale..

Nirvana NL. Sprouted 3, got 1 female. Wish I could have kept her.
I probably shouldn't name the site. My heart lies with IC now.

First couple grows, were from high quality seeds, picked out of some elbows, from a hippie, in the Bay Area.

Then my first seed purchase, was in 1996, from a seed company from B.C.
They were Cotton Candy, Five "O" Back, & Mighty Might X Plum Bud.

Bagseed from the shitty Mexican imports that made up almost all the dealer weed in my area.

This was, of course, before the internet.

My first designer strain was Rosetta Stone given to me by Lilbuddy, a staff member at Hempcultivation in the early days 99 or 2000.

When I started, (Humboldt, '70s), we never heard talk of strains much, just "Indica" or "hybrid". People talked about country of origin sometimes, as in Afghani or Pakistani. At that time, Kush meant one thing, seeds sourced in the Hindu Kush.

When I started I just asked people I knew for seeds.
It was never a problem, they were free, no one said no. If things turned out well, you just shared some buds with them at harvest.

Bagseed! Right now I have Williams wonder, c99, strawberry cough, ak-47, critical+, sfv & keeping mom's! Too bad none of them were papa's cause I want to make some seed to make sure I keep genetics but no males & they were not even feminized !:plant grow:
Sorry I can't say where I got the seeds!

i'm hear you guys who just say bagseed. i've been smoking since the 70's but only started growing during the last decade.

we occasionally got something back in the day that was identified by name: Columbian Gold, Thai Stick, Panama Red to name the memorable ones.

wish i had seeds ;)
