What strain has a garlic smell?

I ordered a pack of 40 sensi outdoor mix strains last summer, and among them were 2-3 sativa looking plants that formed small buds along the long branches. The buds smelled spicy as hell like garlic... does anyone know what strain this might be?

Sensi used to carry a strain called Garlic bud back in 88-89. If memory serves me it was an Indy Dom, but maybe some of these old gene's were a part of your outdoor mix.

I think if u look at sensi's shiva shanti, they say it has some garlic bud in it?

I've grown Shiva Shanti #1 from Sensi Seeds.It does in fact smell like garlic.Nice yielder,solid nugs,finished about 65 days.

i think garlic bud is an old afghani strain in sensi's collection it is part of the shiva shanti.. i greww this strain circa 99 and it was not all that.. little smell weak green smell decent trichome count medium high..only germed 5 seeds still got the rest.. maybe a better mom is to be found in my pack...

shiva shanti was the first store bought strain I grew out...very nice indeed.
"The Shiva Shanti ® is a 3 way hybrid which consists mostly a Afghani strain that we call Garlic Bud because of its characteristic aroma . The Shiva Shanti II® contains a smaller proportion of this Garlic Bud and is added with Skunk and another Afghani. It is a less stable 4-way hybrid but quality-wise very nice."

yeah I go with garlic bud. I have the 89 SSSC Garlic clone. She is very tastey and has the widest thickest leaves I have ever seen. She floweres very fast 7 weeks, but I feel she is weak in potency at least in comparison. peace

Shiva Shanti I have tried also and it does have the garlic taste. I also have tried Shiva Shanti II and it is a good strain to breed with even though it is not stable. Yes it has wide branching. But the bottom arms doesnt stretch up like a hybrid. You can give it extra veg to yield more and get the arms to pull up more also. 10 days in hydro under 50sqft for veg would produce a nice monster.
