I just noticed about 5 minutes ago a "web cluster" I guess you could call it in on the inside of one of my buds...They are around 48 days right now. I dont know what to do. Should I chop it before it gets worse???? I was able to clear most of the web out and I cut off a bunch of leaf, but I dont know what to do..Please help!!

If your still flowering for 2 plus weeks..... then check into this and much luck ~

Spider Mites are the ARCH enemy! Fighting them on and off for 4 years. cut off any unneeded foliage and drop in a bucket of Malathion. Smear Vaseline around the edges of pots and drying trays. I mix half strength Pepper Max and Neem with a little juice from cigarette butts. Spraying with an upward motion ONLY at lights-out. Rinse the next day right before lights on. Then let off two (or more, depending on room size) PCO foggers and two of the more expensive pyreth bombs at the same time. (lights off as well) You can also vacuum them off carefully with a brush attachment and quickly escort them outside, which works nicely when in bloom, but you lose some crystals. Make sure you have a filter in your shop vac. Of course ANY pistils you spray will turn prematurely. Agrizyme is supposed to be safe up until 3 days from harvest. That may be true, but it sure does kill pistils and didn’t prove to be a magic mite during bloom cure. Spraying with Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap leaves an aweful smell/taste even 2 weeks before harvest. Keep temps as low as possible. Below 80 degrees helps slow them down. They don't like moisture but unfortunately mold does. Take a shower and wash your clothes and shoes. There was a rumor (and I saw it written) that bringing the CO2 levels to 10,000 ppm for an hour would kill ANYTHING. A grow store had me experiment and supplied the gear. The hard part was getting a CO2 meter that went to 10,000 ppm. Very expensive. Long story short, it was a wive's tale. They certainly didn't like it, but it didn't kill all of them. One of the main concerns was if the high doses of CO2 would harm the plants. It did not. I worked my way up to sealing off the room and letting an entire bottle off and stay that way over night. The plants didn't mind at all. Don’t breathe in high amounts of CO2 or you’ll get dizzy and a headache. Had it worked, we would've had a popular new mite eradication product and be worshipped throughout the galaxy..
Lady bugs didn't work but they were pretty and left an illusion of good luck. Mite predators work if you have a million dollars to cover a large population and whatever you do DON'T sprinkle them and the sawdust looking crap they come in on sticky plants if you intend to smoke it. It causes a singed hair/barbeque smell/taste. Sprinkle them at the base of the plant and let them crawl up. The predator people don't tell you that. Also, all of the spray cures will kill the predator mites. Eggs are the second problem and an oil is the only thing that penetrates and kills them. Every time I've cleaned out an area I've found a corner where they had a mother nest that wasn't on plants. I dip my clones in a Neem mix when I cut them and they don't mind. Repeat any treatment every 7 days. Mixing up treatments helps avoid tolerence. I heard another rumor that a sulphur burner would kill mites but I haven't tried it. All of this has truthfully worked or not worked for me, (no urban legends) but use at your own risk. You probably know most of this, but I felt compelled to write this just in case. Mites will be around long after people and they've certainly taken a year off of my life. Writing this makes me itch. with love and respect, Gamera (of Tokeyo)

Thanks for the reply Zepplin..A lot of that was very good information but unfortunately my plants are outside and I cant do most of that. I cut off most of the fan leaves and some other leaves. I will keep a good eye on it and if I see it getting worse then I will have to chop it. lets hope not. The plants are just now starting to turn purple and the smell is beginning to smell like blueberrys. It makes me wonder if this bagseed was from a blueberry plant or a blueberry cross of some sort. Anyways, thanks for the info..Peace.. :joint:

outdoors...this late into the grow

I would take a hose with a decent amount of presser behind it and give them a heavy spraying/washing
early in the morning...on a sunny/warm day
so they have pleanty of time to dry before the sun goes down

repeat withen 48hrs, if weather allows

Spray them like Maddog99 said and ounce you get them under control then you gonna wanna cut ur girls down, make sure to do a fast dry to begin with so that the mites wont wanna hang around, also because of possible mold... All the energy of the plant is going into making buds not growing, so your plants will never recover from this so late in flower that why i recomend cutting them after you gets rid of most of the mites...

The easiest thing to do is make a solution of Chili peppers and water.
Get the hottest that you can find about 4 or 5 and blend with 2 cups water.
then strain the water and spray your plants. especially the underside of the leaves. YOu can also spray the buds,- nothing will happen to the buds, but i try not to get too mush of the solution onto them.
Repeat this procedure, everyday for a few days.
This helps a lot.
BUT be very careful that the chili solution does not burn your hands (wear gloves or something over your hands to protect them ) and your EYES.

(Credit goes to Wernard from Positronics for telling me this)

First off I want to say Kudos+++ to everyone who replied, Thanks a lot. Well I tried the chilli water and I havent found anymore web clusters...but..I do find web going from leave to leave on all the plants every morning....I dont want it to get worse and ruin the plants. They are at day 53, it looks like they have maybe a week or a few days more than that to go....what should I do??

Im not an out door grower, but every 3 rez changes, I always give my plants some sort of ANTI-bug additive, always in small amounts, but the over effect helps the plant build up immunity to spider mites and other bugs\

In your situation, i would mix a small amount of NEEM oil in with some water when you water the plants. The last two weeks of flower, i dont add any additives and just flush the plant

i say, if the mites just got to the plants then i doubt they could do much damage in the few days remaining b4 chopp,, esp if you've already taken care of most of um with the chillie water solution.. when ya chopp um hang the whole plant upside down,, the remaining mites should migrate to the "top" ( the stalk since it'd be upside down) their instincts tell them to go up,,, just my .02 not worth much huh! :biglaugh:

p.s. well it is only .02 right??
