What should I do with this borken branch?

I have some romulan plants that are about 4-5 weeks into flower. yesterday I noticed one branch was bent at the base where it attaches to the main stalk and it was laying on the ground. actually it looked more like it was pulling away from the main stalk if you know what I mean. I'm sure it was from the weight of the branch and the wind blowing. so I quickly tied up the branch to the fence to hold it back upright. I was gone most of the day yesterday so i didn't get a chance to check up on it. I went out to water this morning and this is what I found. leaves are drooping and on the verge of limp. It looks as if it was just way thirsty, but the rest of the plant didn't look that way. so I watered with 5 gallons of water and waited about 20 minutes and then took these pics. you can see from the first pic the affected branch on the right side of the bush. the last pic is one of the buds from the top cola.

So my question is, what should I do about this problem. wait another day and see if it comes back?? chop it and hang it to dry? Will it produce decent smoke? Use it for hash?

I would prefer to use it for smoke but not sure how it will turn out. any info would be appreciated. thanks

There is absolutely no reason to pick it now. Don't. Use a splint like a cheap bamboo pole and tape. I haven't tried duct tape; I use elastic gardening tape. I also have had some strongest limbs from broken limbs.

ok, went back outside and the plant still looks the same. I took a pic of the area where it broke, then I tightened up the string i had that was holding it up and put the branch in a more upright position to close the wound. then took a pic of it after I fixed it. hope this helps. I'm not sure duct tape would fix this one. how long should I wait? 24 hours?

the string you see is holding another branch from falling down

wait till you know for sure. It's not gonna run off anywhere. Hopefully you got the branch back up to the stem before it all dried out. Just be patient.

Looks like you did a good job. I had a lot worse damage last year last year that I fixed with hose clamps and gorilla tape. Happy harvest.

You will be fine for sure. Next time throw a little clone-x on the wound to disinfect before repairing the break. This helps prevent any virus or bacteria attacking your plant.

Edit: you may not want to do this that late into flower. Clone-x is not something you want to smoke, but in veg it works great.
