what % of pistils brown for finished bud

figured this is the best place to ask...

ive got some bagseed...unkonwn days in flower as they were from 12/12 from seed...no scope other than a crappy 3x mag glass...heard it was like 90% brown for a nice couch lock high...is that correect? what should i look for to knwo when to start flushing?

How long your been flowering them? What do they look like right now. Some pictures might help out but if you can't then i would say about 60 to 70% of them brown without having seen anything...I would flush your last 10 days but thats just me....

90% is a bit too far into the THC degrading. You can never go wrong with 50/50, however I found myself letting it get right at 70% and then taking them. Some strains will never go amber though, but if you aren't sure of the strain just make your best guess. You can usually guess within a week or two just by the way the buds are forming.

...think of your plant like an apple or bananna ripening...they will get noticably darker when pull it to late...

go to radioshack and spend 10 bucks on a pocket microscope, its worth it.. hairs dont determine potency / ripeness exactly, trichomes do..
