what music do you work on your garden to?

This is a problem I've had since I started. I like to have some nice, chill music to listen to while I work in my garden, but I don't know of that much. I don't care what kind it is, as long as it's chill and isn't that "listen to me I'm a dude but I don't sound like it!" crap. I have no desire to hear a guy who sounds like he got dropkicked in the nuts sing... Hell, if it's about mj even better.

I don't want to listen to the same stuff I always listen to when I'm in my garden, cause that takes me to a different mindset and I don't want that. I just get bored when it's completely silent. Especially when cloning/repotting/doing time intensive work.

So, what do you all listen to?

The soft sounds of the idiot box babbling in the other room. Actually I can't even hear that--I've got six different fans going in my garden area.

I get busy when I got some Killa Cam'ron, OJ Da Juiceman bumpin' or some Ol' Skool (80's-90's) R&B. Sometimes I might even put on Nirvana's Nevermind. That's a classic in my book.

What about some weed themed music? Not too big on rap, but if it's chill and not angry/gangsta sounding I'd give it a try. I guess what I'm looking for is music exclusively for my room and work, about MJ, for MJ. :joint:

Afroman! haha.
Talking heads, pearl jam, nirvana, RHCP marley and a wide range of more obscure stuff also get a fair amount of play around here. I've got a toking-themed playlist in itunes that's also my go-to trimming music. Lots of reggae, grunge and 90's alternative (which probably shows my age a bit...)

"about MJ, for MJ." If you are thinking outside your normal music "box", that describes much of everything I find good from the 60-70s. But it also describes a LOT of music influenced by cannabis before then in the 40s and 50s. JAZZ and "marijuana" were uniquely linked in history you will find if you are inclined.

Jazz isn't a bad choice for background music while you are working away. Depends on what instruments you like better. Never mind whoever is singing, you don't need a singer, let the instruments and your imagination be the "voice". I'm into Pat Metheny (guitar) at present, with Miles Davis(trumpet), Wynton Marsalis(trumpet), Thelonius Monk(piano), and many others in the iPod mix.

That's all I've got to contribute, but thought I'd share a unique perspective.
