What kind of magnifier should I get for spotting trichomes?

Do you have any links to good ones like on ebay, I know there are many to choose from but what is the best one for this trickhomes spotting?

What he said. I have a really old-school chrome one that's only 30X and has no light, but it works really well.

You should know that it takes a bit of practice at first with these. Your eye needs to be almost touching it, you know, it has to be really close to your eye. After a few uses, you'll get the hang of it, and how to angle things so the light hits the trichs just right, etc.

Here's a link to one that looks just like mine, for only $12.00

This one's really really cheap ($2.69, free shipping) and works well. It's not really 45x (they calculate for area instead of diameters). There's a 60x for a few cents more.

It's very adequate for looking at trichomes. Works better than one I bought in the $20-30 range.

The optics ain't bad at all for the price. I've had mine for a year or more and I'm perfectly satisfied.
