What kind of light footprint can I expect- 1000watt cool sun xl 8" air cooled

What kind of footprint do these kick out? Is this thing good for a 4 by 4? If not, what size footprint?

Yeah 4 x 4 is good, beyond that there is lower wattage at the edge.

Use your space don't waste it if you got it, what I mean if if you got 5x5 run 5x5 if you only got 4x4 run 4x4, no reason to have empty space not being used for plants.

I"m going to run 4000 watts. three 1000's in a row for a 10 by 4.5" space and another 1000 watts for a 6.5" by 5 foot setup. The 6.5 foot by 5 foot setup is going to get a little light overlap from the other light setup. I'd be curious to buy a candle meter and see how the room specs out.

Your spacing sounds good to me, 4.5 works for me, my corners suffer cause the big plants hog the light. Got a 20 buck light meter coming, reckon it will help me understand better and keep checking my bulbs more consistant.
