What kind of holes do you drill in your buckets?

Hey everyone.

What kind of holes are you drilling in your buckets for soil? I know I can't be the only one who buys regular old buckets, so there should be plenty of you out there who need to do this. Let me know how it's done.

Well I don't buy buckets I just use your plain old rigid plastic pots.If you have to make drainage holes make them 1/2" each and drill 5-6 holes per bucket.

no, i use netted pots.

I buy my pots at the local nursery for .25 per pot (7 gallons) and don't do dick to them.

They already have holes so adding more holes is sort of like a meth job or something (waste of time) unless the pots are fucked up and have no holes ......

Lol i agree, replies are stupid

i personaly get 17L to 24L buckets when the fruit store throws away buckets by my house or wherever i can get them, i hate the 20L pickle buckets tho cause smell is hard to get rid of... But i use a medium sized drill bit and pretty much go to town on the bottom of my bucket, try to make it even so it looks proffesional lol .I also add 4 holes on the sides about 4cm from the bottom. i also fill the bottom with hydroton or perlite for easier drainage

I would have nominated the "square drill bit" post meself.

The next step would be to cut the bottom of the pot off and stretch fish net panty hose in lieu for the ultimate design in drainage?

I hate re-inventing the wheel - again........

i tried drawing a drill bit with letters and it turned out really bad. but they kinda look like forks, here we go the top one.
