What kind of grower are you?

I find myself turning into a bit of a seed whore. I have been on a bit of a buying frenzy lately and have amassed, likely a life time worth of seeds.

I like a bit of variety as smoking the same kind for a year can get old even if it is great product but I also like to keep mothers. That being said, I like to keep pheno hunting to find those perfect mums.

Ideally, I would like to find 3-4 mums and then go from there. Problem is that there are so many great sounding/looking strains and so little time.

So do you keep mums? Are you one of those people who find 1-2 strains and grow them solely for years on end? Are you a constant mother hunter or is it something new every time?

My name is Jay and I too am a seed whore. I have tons of seeds and am in the process of finding good mothers. I have 2 mothers right now and I think one will be a keeper. Sour blueberry from HSO. The other is a superhaze from ch9. Still not sure If I want to keep this one around. Always shows some sort of def. while none of my other plants do. So I am trying to faze that one out and keep a bubba kush I have one left of from an old mother. This too is from HSO.

I like variety, I don't like spending thousands of dollars on seeds and i don't have much space.

So what i did is : I bought a 2 mix pack from Chimera, kept all the males i ended up with, collected the seeds, planted them and started over again.

That way, i always have something new in my garden and i have an unlimited supply of seeds.

I've been doing this for about a year now and I'm planning on doing it for the rest of my life.

The only downside is i don't know what the hell I'm smoking at any given moment.

i don't think of myself as a seed ho, but that said i do have many hundred's in cold storage
but that's from making them, kind of a grey area
growing out a few strains over years will likely hit you with the tolerance problem
you just don't get the same effects if you use the same plant all the time
some say there are strains which don't make a tolerance, that's not my experience though

My current run is wifi, SLH, chocolope and a cheese. I am hoping for a wifi mum and a SLH mum.

I think my next run will have malawi, GTH#1, alpha diesel and chemdogDD.

Hopefully after that, I will have 2-4 nice mums and then I can start running less but bigger plants in vscrog.

I would have more Breeders seeds if I were less
geeked about getting caught/confiscated.

As it is I make crosses with the good stuff I have
to keep seeds available.

I have 5 mums and two males, I kept my first
female, revegged, almost 4 years now.

Coco Hempys, cfl veg/hps flower. Micro style,
less than 6 sq. ft.
