Hi BB,
So your plants look a little droopy. Some info you didn't include that's important. What's the EC/TDS of your water. Hydroponics is all about the water so that's important. And you don't know what EC you're feeding at either?

Please clarify...what size rockwool do you have underneath the hydroton? That is what's happening here...correct?

And how often are you flooding?

Im not to sure what my ec/tds is for my water all im checking with my water is ph, i add only 3ml of a and b formula per Liter that i got from my local hydro store. The size of rockwool that is under the hydroton is 4x4. The plants look alot worse right now very droopy. I dont think im really flooding the table cause im afraid im going to overwater, i do how ever feed the plants every 2-3 days depends on how dry the rockwool looks. Any opinions, also the leaves are starting to turn yellow. Do you think I added to many nutrients? Or overfeed or underfeed?

BB,
First off, I'd abandon your feeding technique. Since you only do it every couple of days, watering by hand wouldn't be a major hardship. Water manually from the top which will help flush any nutrient salts that have accumulated.

There was a thread recently suggesting sampling the nute solution inside rockwool (using a syringe and needle). Readings were way out of wack compared to what was being fed. Higher ppm and more acidic as i recall.

With your set-up, you can't really overwater. Make sure your nutrient solution is aerated. Everyday would be ok. It just seems so unlikely that you're overwatering every 3rd day.

Much more likely that you're accumulating salts in your rockwool.

Keep your ph in range and good ventilation and all that...
And it would be a good idea to get a TDS meter when you can.

I dont understand what kind of feeding technique you want me to do. Hand water the plants from the top, so just pour some water onto the rocks and rockwool? This will in turn flush the nutrients salts out of the rockwool. The rez is aerated and i think my ph was way high so i added some more ph down and got it to around 5.

BigBud,
Yes...feed from the top rather then flood from the bottom. You could just put a longer hose on your pump and manually start the pump and go from plant to plant with the hose. Volume isn't super important as long as you get good runoff.

And 5.4 to 6.2 is an acceptable ph range. 5 is way to low. Could be part of your problem.

What im trying to say is there a quick way i can recover them from drooping.

BB...
The way to solve the drooping is to get the feeding regimen squared away. In short...to solve the problem.

I don't think it's overwatering. You're stretching the watering out to every third day...and the plants are getting worse.

They're being toxified by something else.

Look, they're your plants. Do what you want. That's my opinion though. Rockwool is not a wet/dry sort of medium.

OK, one more question I have for you. How high is the flooding? How high compared to the rockwool cube?

Also 1 of my smaller plants started to droop as well today Im not sure what the problem is. Could my ph be to high? Also could my nutrients be to strong or not strong enough to feed the plant?

Looks like nitrogen def to me.

When I used to bottom feed coco (ewww!) like you did I got similar coloring. It works, but only when the roots are big enough. I'd hand water with the solution you currently have (maybe up the N?) and wait around a week for them to start recovering. It's all about developing a healthy rootmass, so don't worry about feeding them constantly yet. I'd even say that young plants need to be allowed to dry out a bit more to allow the roots to flourish. That's my experience in coco anyway.

Hope they pick up dude. B8.

I stoped feeding from the bottom cause that wasnt working out for me, now im just feeding from the top. How do I Up the Nitrogen i only have the 2 bottles of nutrinets a and b. Im not sure what is in each the guy at the hydro store said that these will feed your plant.

BB69,
I think the drooping is less. It's really hard to tell on the color with your HPS shots. Can you take a flash shot ofter lights are off? To get true coloration?

Hey, you can't expect a deficiency/overnute situation to recover in a day or two. Be patient. Looks like you can start upping your nutrients. Same watering schedule but more nutes...
