what is this

What is causing this deficeny? Plants are clones about 8 weeks into vegging. I am using a recirculating dwc bucket. 6 5gallon buckets, air stone in each bucket, air stone also in reservior, and i am using pbp veg nutrients. at a rate of 600tds. Reservior temp at 72. Room temp 77. Dyi air cooled tude. Humidity about 30%. Ph is at 5.8. I dumped my nutrients every 14 days. Root systems are brown which I think may be due to the nutrients.
What should the tds be at for a 8 week or mid-sized plant? I think my tds is to low. Would this cause this def.? Or could it be something else? :fsu:

Fill out this form(I think it might be for soil though so you might have to use another one) and pictures are helpful:

How long has this problem been going on?
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How Tall are the plants?
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?

The TDS level would depend on the strain. Some strains like a lot of nutes and some don't. If you fill out the form above then it will be easier for people to help you out.

HAHA! thats a GNARLY secondary mineral def, mainly mag, but im betting calcium and iron too. most likely PH related, or a complete lack of secondary nutes.

Hey green,

Digital hit it on the head... and if you've done your reading up on PBP products you'll know immediately that they seriously lack the Cal that our ladies need.

I would recommend the following:

1 - Buy some Cal-Mag if you dont already have it. Add 3-5ml/gal, depending on what your ladies can handle via EC/TDS.

2 - Check and recheck your pH... ensure it's in the 5.8-6.0 range... based on what your pics show, I bet it's been way outta that range for at least several days.
