What is this white growth?

I'm using advanced nutrients an a 13.75 gallon recirculating deep water culture with water chiller.
Root temps = 68 degrees consistently
Air temps = 84-88 (co2 enriched environment)
Veg cycle
Few months old
Ph is rising rapidly mixed nutes yesterday night when I woke up they were at 6.8 which is why I checked out the roots
I did not know this was a thing but it looks like mold doesn't it? Is that my ph problem right there?

Ok I took a closer look, your roots dont look too healthy, and I cant tell if that spiderweb looking stuff is a mycelium, root growth, or indeed mold like you said, I have never seen moldy roots in my life

Those are just the top roots, there's a big ball that sits at the bottom in the water. Advanced nutrients said the brown in common when using there nutes (B52 is the exact one I believe that does this)

Looks like mold in 1st pic and Root Slime in second pick.

I also did the battle against rootslime once. Nothing helped, including h2o2. Then I tried cannazym and it did the trick for me. It was aero. Long battle!

add an airstone and see if it don't help..DJXX

Thats a great idea

Lol wonder how a enzyme proforms different in medium vs hydro. I only do coco so idk but i love to check out hydro threads because they interest me and people like dj have useful advice maybe hlps later

Yes the difference was amazing. First trying different products like h2o2. It helped first for day. The more I gave it the less it worked and in the end there was no benefit of enormous amounts of h2o2, slime just wins.

Cannazym and boom, since that minute the ugly brown roots started to push out pearly white roots and the slime was beaten. Spreading ended that moment.

1 ppm of bleach until the situation is resolved, then .5 ppm as maintenance every week. Add more air, as others have said

You really think I have root rot. I would hope not I spent money on water chiller and I use the beneficial so from adavanced nutes. I thought I read forgot will lower my ph not raise it. I also said that brown roots are normal because or the brown coloring in the b52 bottle I use. Roots don't smell that brown wipes off also wouldn't root rot be brown and slimed all the way thru not just a thin outer layer that wipes off from touch

Who the has a meter that can accurately read down to .5 ppm? With bleach coming in different concentrations I'm not sure how you would measure...

Well the picture is not very sharp. If you are running some heavy coloring nute.. maybe. But the very bottom roots look very slimy to my eye. Close shot from the roots would tell alot more.

IMO ditch the idea of h2o2. It just kills all beneficial bacteria and wont help with slime.

I need to kill the mold.
