What IS the RIGHT temperature

R

Okay, I have seen this talked about A LOT!
However, I want to start a thread on it since the Summer is coming.
Now I am on my second grow, it's in the garage, and outside temperatures are in the 60 degree range lately. My plants temps are about 80 during the heat of the day (I am in 24/7 Veg). It was a revege, and not is a veg veg. Since the temperatures have been higher I have noticed the plants are doing pretty good. I mean I fed them yesterday, and today it is obviously lusher in there. My room is 7 feet by 4 feet with whole garage height available. I never had to heat the place in the Winter, but the temps were like 10 degrees less. It may just be time for this weed to grow, does anyone have any thoughts

anything lower than 60 you goin to experience slow slow growth... I try and keep it 78-90... depends on your setup.... suplementin co2+ sealed room can be kept at higher temps than passive intake / active exhaust rooms....

I've kept mine in 70's. Sometimes at night it goes to 60's, They seem to like it. Growing very well goping into week 4 of flower

I think you are better off keeping temps moderate, cooler at night during 12/12. This more closely mimics what would happen naturally.

The closer your temps are to one extreme or another for the plant(s) you are growing, the more risk of stress. I like to stay away from temperature related stresses if I can.

I doubt I will be able to have an indoor grow this summer. No way to keep temps cool enough during the day short of installing A/C which is not an option.

Sometimes, right when my lights go off, the temperature drops down to between 55 and 60 degrees. When the lights come on, the temp sometimes spikes up to about 90 degrees for an hour or two before settling down to between 80 and 85 degrees by the time the sun is completely down. I like to run them at night as it really seems to help with the temps. I couldn't imagine trying to burn my lights in the day.. It's really freaking hot out here!

I'm hoping the Speed Queen I have does well in the summer.. I can see my cab temps hitting 90 degrees for an extended period of time. I hear the Mandala strains do well in high heat situations.

Although most literatur indicates optimum temps for veg to be 75 degrees F,I also found it optimum temps for mite infestations, especially if RH drops below 50%.The best thing I ever did for my vegging plants was to use a cool mist humidifier and have temps around 85 degrees F.I used to get mites in veg quite often,I went a couple years without a single mite in veg until this spring, and the humidifier kept them in check.I saw a few dots and checked the underside of the suspect leaf.I found 1 viable egg,1 "melted egg" and one halflive mite that wasnt moving and looked miserable as hell.Thats what humidity and higher temps will do to them, you'll never get an infestation in veg.Flower of course is a different story

The temps I quoted were day time temps... I dont really measure temps at night... got an analog thermometer

I'm on my fourth grow. At grow 2 I decided to go a little higher with the ambient temps. I stayed between 80 - 90f and they grew great. I keep my humidity fairly low, 30%.

The cab I
m using now has a passive intake, forced exhaust through a scrubber. The cab is 4.625 cu ft and is insulated. Until recently it was holding a constant temp of 78f, but last night it got warmer so now its running around 86f. The plants are loving it. Again low humidity.

Here's a pic of my Redwoods at 3 wks from seed.

I have 18 in the cab so its crowded. I think temps would be lower if there were less but I just have to grow every one I can. ITS an OBSESSION!!!!!!

I try and keep my room around 75f. Although if you're growin out the purpley pot, lower temps will help make it purplier ie 58-65f.

The forecast for my room calls for a sunny, breezy day with a high of 82 degrees. Temps in my room stay between 78-82 degrees.

Good start gentlemen. It is so ironic that as soon as outdoor temps rised my veg started to really veg. It reminded me outdoor plants. Anyway, lets keep this temp thread alive.

The ideal temps are without CO2 76F - 79F. With CO2 86 F maximum

Agreed. It's good if nightime temps area little lower than that
