What is the most strongest smelling Afghani?

I am looking for an Afghani to cross with various strains to make the buds bigger.

The thing is it must be strong smelling, to impart bag appeal to the cross.
I say this because I grew Sensi's Afghani #1 and while there was a high yielding pheno there, it had hardly any smell when dried.

Don't get me wrong, it was a nice smoke, my favourite actually, nice relaxing stone without any anxiety or racing thoughts, but for commercial it just didn't have the bag appeal because of it's lack of smell.

So from your experience, are there any strong smelling (when dried) Afghani's out there?

What about Maple Leaf Indica? I'm thinking of ordering that one, but don't know if it has a strong smell or not.

Must have big thick cola's as well as strong smell.

I have a Mr. Nice Critical Mass in my garden atm and she has strong smells in week 2 of flower already (where others just smell of grass, I mean lawn, not that ;) ).
She is also shaping up to yield extremely well (as the strain is known to do).
Critical Mass is what used to be called Big Bud and is an Afghan x Skunk1 cross.

Aside from that, Mr. Nice Afghan has been used in a whole lot of the Mr. Nice crosses, seems like he found something really good in that line through the years.
The only "pure Afghan" in their stable is the Ortega if I remember correctly. Always wondered why they call it "basically pure Afghan" in their strain description though, as it is NL#1 x NL#5..

Anyway, he has a whole lot of crosses with the Afghan that should suit your desires.

Critical Mass and Nordle off the top of my hat.

I actually ordered Critical Mass from the Mr NIce site over a week ago, and they are refusing to reply to my emails enquiring if they have received my bank transfer.

I think they are stealing my money. Fuck you Mr Nice.

I think KC Brains calls his Afghani Special; when he tacks "special' onto the end of his strains I think it means it has a bit of something else in it. I want pure Afghani.

I think I will get Sensi's Maple Leaf Indica, and while I'm there I will get a pack of Nirvana's Afghani, as I had a pack of this years ago and the male plant had so many male flowers they formed a thick cola.

I just have to wait till my Bubba's Gift x Black Widow are ready to harvest so I can generate some cash flow.
I will harvest a few of them tomorrow at week 6, as they are covered in resin, and seem not too far from their peak.
That will pay for the seeds, and the rest I will let go to week 7 and see what they look like.

Maple Leaf is not all that strong smelling but damn good buzz. KCBrains Afghani was the worst stuff I have grown. Never finished and just crap in every way.

Maple leaf indica is sweet smelling. If you want rank get the Mr Nice Affie.

This. Maple Leaf Indica is sweet and has a good smell, but nothing like the skunk and dead animal of a strong open set of genes of an Affie. MLI was heavily inbred to isolate the specific traits it exudes. Mr. Nice is far more open and will have a great amount of variation for you to customize around.

I'd try seedsmans mazari...I bet that's what makes our Cheese clone so stinky..I think the Afghan used in sk1 was a mazari

Yeah I have strong tendencies to believe that the road kill skunk everyone seeks had afghani in it or was straight affie...I know this goes against the grain as far as the history from very respected members of the community that is offered as truth, but I just can't see how it could have been bred out of the original skunk to the point where literally millions of beans later no one has found it in any skunk line around, but yet there is extremely close relations in a lot of affie lines.

I grew Skunk #1 from Dutch Passion once, and the strongest smelling one was the most sativa plant.

Skunk does smell quite strong, I think that people are using the term "road kill skunk" to literally mean it smelt like a dead skunk, when the people who coined the term may have just used it as a colourful way to say the weeds was strong smelling, when in actual fact it didn't smell like a skunk at all.

our cheese is a sativa pheno of sk1,,,,

a guy on here called elevatorman grew out some seedsman sk1 a few years back,, he said there were very dark and dirty smells from most phenos,, i wouldn't mind trying seedsmans sk1 and mazari ,i heard samS sold them both seedlots ,,, if anyone is looking for the roadkill sk1 of old thats where id start,, id cross the stinkiest from both lines and look at the f2 generation for the roadkill

Derg Corra has an affie from Helmand which might fit the bill. Don't know if it's very stinky but there probably hasn't been too much selection done on the line, so there should be plenty of variation. It's currently out of stock, but should be back in stock soon.

Afghan (Helman province)

This afghan was given to me by a danish soldier who was stationated in the Helman province in Afghanistan. He told me that they often did hide in the cannabis fields to rest, and that they took buds with them when they left.
The buds was often full of seeds, and he took some of these seeds with him to Denmark when he was sent home. He was not a smoker him self but he came home with PTSD, and he was told by some of his comrads that this strain helped them to ease the PTSD. He contacted me as he knew that i was a stoner, and asked me if he could use it with out smoking it. I told him about cannabisoil and told him to read up on it. He did and he wanted to try it, so i made a few plants and made oil for him. That made him very happy and he wanted to learn how to grow him self. He is now a small-time grower for oil only.

I liked the smoke from these my self, so why not let the seed get out there. So stickman was kind enough to do a seedgrow on these nice affies for the DCC.

Mostly indica
Many purple phenoes
Stoned effect
Indoor and outdoor
8-10 weeks of flowering
Finish outdoor in beginning of October (54*n Lat)
