Generally speaking... it would seem that all lamp cords from HID ballasts are 15'

I know in HPS magnetic ballasts, there is an issue with the long cord as the ignitor has to be withing so many feet of the bulb. I had lots of issues with this and had to mount the ignitors near the hood.
Maybe you should contact Lumatek.
Digital ballasts are supposed to remain cool so why not just keep it in the grow room?

you cant use cords longer than 15' on a 600 digital. it is the only one that cant except a longer 20' or 25' cord. every other wattage in digital can. sucks huh. 
the guy at discount hydro told me the lumateks can be placed as far as 35' from the reflector. my best advice would be to call them and ask how it's done. they are very honest and wont puysh something on you that you dont need. they are all about repeat business and i have been very impressed with thier sevice compared to other online growshops. givvem a call and ask them directly. it will save you alot of time and trouble.

if the distance is too long you need shielded wires as they can act as antennas and cause RF-interference. (Think it's worst for digs due to higher output frequncy than analog/magnetic ballasts.)
