What is the best way to store cannabis?

I like waterproof cases like people store camera gear in or diving equipment. It's basically an air-tight suitcase. Just one large container to keep at a nice RH where your green can live in bags. I have quite a bit of glassware but it starts getting heavy and isn't the very best use of space. Some is still in use within my cases, as is Tupperware but a lot is simply zip lock bags, carrier bags and my daily stash is all paper bags within a fairly small container. If I feel the need I flick a bit of water in. Which goes evenly through everything in just hours.

You need a container to be fairly full. A single bud in a mason jar will be hard to manage as all the air gets exchanged when you open the jar and then the bud can loose moisture into the new air getting it's RH up to ~60% again. Presuming the air that got in was 40-50% in a warm home. In a garage or shed in winter you might find your air is actually too damp to be allowing it at your bud.

It basically wants to be sealed into a space where you can control the moisture level. Which is why I like a single space to manage.

Yes, Mason jar with lid and rings. I like 58 ±2% humidity. Keep in dark place and keep temperature as constant as possible, think basement. You now can buy tinted mason jars to help keep out light but I don't think they're worth the extra cost. Humidity can be measured inside a jar using a small electronic hydrometer (Amazon, Ebay). Of course, another great way to store is to make it into hashish.

The best way? imo is a humidor.

The goal is to control humidity, temperature, and exposure to sunlight. As long as you do that you will be fine. I do suggest investing in a hygrometer if you haven't already. Keep them in the jar or whatever you use to make sure your RH is good.

I should mention a humidor doesn't need to be made out of cedar. ie. an ammo can with boveda would suffice.

This picture is for cigars but the same info applies to storing your "smoke".
