Grasshoppers get a drink of water by chewing on the stems in hot weather. They chew on the outer layer of the stems, cutting the stems in half and leaving behind the damage. There's nothing you can do for grasshoppers except kill them with your hands if you can catch them. I have seen grasshoppers raise the THC in plants as a defense mechanism. Grasshopper attacks can be beneficial because the plant tries to defend its self by producing more resin and making the weed much more potent. After a while, the grasshoppers stop attacking because the plant has produced more Cannabinoid than the insect can take. .😎

Well that's a fairly optimistic response... thanks for that. Normally someone says "it's such and such bug that can't be stopped, burn down your house"

I will be on the lookout for grasshoppers.

On a similar note, on the outdoor this year I sprayed B.T. because of moths and resulting worms and noticed as a side effect lots of dead grasshoppers - so B.T. does kill them.

I just try not to spray anything indoors if I don't have to.

Thanks for the response. I hope you are right
