Here is my deal, all of these plants looked perfect until this is just starting to happen. I am on day 27 of flowering and some of the fan leaves from the bottom up are starting to look like the pic below. Almost looks like rust spots around the edges then over takes the entire leaf. They are in a sealed room with co2 . Fox Farm Ocean Forrest is the soil and I am feeding with Micro bloom using Lucas formula with Big Bud as my only additive. I am using the micro bloom at half strength and the big bud at 1\4 strength due to my tap water is very hard at 450ppm out of the tap. I have a ph meter and all that, there being fed at 6.5ph. Also foliar spray with seaweed extract every day when lights come on. Any help on what the heck is going on would be great.

Too much sodium (mixed with chlorine) in your water can be a cause for nutrient lockout.
450ppm is quite high.

Thats exactly what looks like to me, consider flushing using ro for a feeding then starting with nutes and ro water or a slight mixture of tap20% and ro water80%.if you have a small grow you just go down to one of those water machines and get a couple gallons for on hand. maybe some other people could chime in here.
even with that cal def your still gonna pull some nugs yah yah
much love and grow safe

thanks fella's, yeah I was leaning towards a Cal deff. My grow is a bit to large to be going down to get those bottles of water. Will Cal-mag help at all??

You can pick up small RO filter kits on eBay for $120 or thereabouts. Not a bad option. I last checked em out about 3 months ago - 3.5-4g reservoir and something like 100g per day? Primary market I think is aquarium owners, but for whatever reason there are a couple of different vendors and plenty of them up.

I guess my next question is why does this deff only happen when I get to about 3 weeks in flower. I have mothers that are 1 yr old being fed with the same water with no problems......

Thanks n advance

I would look at moms or any aged plants differently than new or first time flowering plants as far as what they can or cannot take.

its because of the stretch. they need more nutes and as they use it up faster you start seeing defeciencies.

Well I picked up some calmag and did a foliar spray plus did a feeding in the water so I guess well see what happens. Any idea of how long it should take to see if it's working?

I think the foliar is to be used a few times a day for a few days only and then depending how hard your local water is, you would add the calmag "as necessary" . I read some use it every feeding and others once or twice per week so its really dependant on the mineral content of your water to start... I should say I'm a first time grower, so you should double check what I've said. However, I had the same problem early on and thats how I fixed it (with the advice of others)

Make sure you check your ppm/ec after adding Cal-Mag as i think this will raise your ppm/ec. Just keep a close eye on this.
