what is cannabis resin composed of? were concentrations thc 10-20%, what makes up the rest?

so i've read, charas only produce a certain amount of thc.. and resin makes up a lot of volume. was the news article i'd read talking about percentages of the plant? it seemed they were talking about percentages of a chara.

i really want to know resin is made up of more than just thc, that thc cannot be in powdered form? what makes resin sticky.

Specific components are alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, delta-3 carene, and sabinene, the monocyclic terpenes limonene and terpinolene, and smaller amounts of the tricyclic sesquiterpenes, longifolene, caryophyllene, and delta-cadinene. Some resins also contain a high proportion of resin acids.
