Ok well ive been a toker for 7 years now and im 18 years old. Anyways about last year ive been notticing left chest pains every time I smoke but it dosent get too bad. I did nottice these left chest pains get worse when I eat cannabis espically if I eat a large dose of weed. Anyways last night I had chest pain like no other. Anyways last night I ate 2 grams in a firecracker. ANyways after 45 mins I got high and everything was fine but after 2 hours or so the pain on the left side of my chest got very bad. The pain got so bad and the pain also spread to my left arm. Anyways while the pain got really bad ... i also was startiing to feal very hot and i started sweating. then my vision turned very blurry and everything turned to a tint of red and green and them my vision turned completely black and then i woke up with my friends asking me if I was ok. Now im nervous to use weed again as I think I have some type of problem with this pain in my chest and yesterday the pain got so bad and I blacked out. What can this be from? DO you kno whats wrong with me?

I don't know about the chest pains but as far as the blacking out I suggest you take 500 mg of vitamin C 30 minutes to an hour before eating/vaping/smoking weed. It should help this problem. Taking it with PULP orange juice enhances the effects.

This method will only work if you do what I described. Taking it anytime before that won't be as effective. Peace.

All I'm saying is that your statement is suspect. I believe little of what I see and even less of what I hear...

Either way, you are far too young to be suffering any severe physical maladies and should consult a doctor as soon as possible. JJScorpio might be onto something, as your condition sounds heart attack-ish, but clearly isn't due to your age. Often panic attacks feel very similar to heart attacks, so I'm willing to bet that they're the source of your trouble...

you should get checked out for a heart murmur/palpatation

some people, as young as 15 or 16 develop hart murmurs. you might have to be more careful about some activities, but deifnitely go to a doctor and get it checked out

me blunt is like, wicked yo!! owight
i pm'd you but still, go to the doctor and get your annual physical, just blood work and maybe a stress test, get that EKG done and hound your doc for the results. if you have a family history of heart problems then you REALLY need to be kinda careful on the smoking side of things.

maybe cook more and lay off the smoking for a while until you know more. could be alot of things. people on here will tell you what they have "gone through" or "think they know". because i have a good idea iam telling you to get and all around check up.

diabetes? i dunno other than something heart related. i only guess diabetes because undiagnosed people lose vision and pass out. like they said see a doctor soon. don't think sugar deficiency would cause heart and arm pain.

many people might not believe but there have been some tests that show after ingesting THC you are 4-5 times more likely to have a heart attack in the 1st hr after smoking or ingesting it....and abot 2 timesmore liekly to have a heart attack 24 hrs later

Go see a doctor.

I had chest pain when I was 16 (19 now) went to doctor turns out I have Pleurisy I still sometimes get episodes of this chest pain but it is not and never was common for me to get the pain.

Anyway, if you were having issues with your chest and left arm the only thing to do is go to the doc and tell him exactly what happened so that the root causes can be determined.

Prepare to have bloodwork and an ekg done.

Absolutely wishing you the best.

You don't say anything about your heart racing, just chest pain. If the pain was caused by a fast heartbeat, then this post I made could apply to you.

Obviously you can't really diagnose something like this without a whole bunch more information. Or being a doctor, if you buy into that kind of stuff. Depending on your age, family medical history, etc. etc. This sounds like it COULD have been an episode of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

This is basically a rapid heartbeat with a sudden onset that usually disappears within ten minutes, but can last for a while. Essentially, what happens is that the heart 'misfires' and causes the heart to begin pumping fast. This can cause pain, dizzyness, etc. The biggest danger is that a person could become light-headed, and take a digger.

If the episode persists for more than 15 minutes, or happens again in the next month or so, I would go to your GP. If you are around 18 years old, this is relatively normal. From personal experience, I can tell you that they will ask you if you had smoked marijuana prior to the incident. I always tell my docs the absolute truth, but to each their own. I will tell you that an episode of supraventricular tachycardia does NOT feel the same as the simple raise in heartbeat that accompanies cannabis use. Occasionally, if I am smoking some durban poison, or other similar sativa, my heart will race, but it does not present the pain, dizziness, etc. that the tachycardia does.

Oh, and don't rule out the possibility that the weed made you observant, and your heart race. These two combined to create enough paranoia to induce a panic attack. I had a friend in high school that this would happen to, on the rare occassion he ever smoked.

Hope this helped.

Fainting/losing consciousness with an abnormal heartbeat could be a Left bundle branch block (LBBB), and should NOT be taken lightly. When I read that you were passing out, I immediately thought of that. Chest pain/abnormal heartbeat is one thing, but losing consciousness during an episode completely changes the gravity of the situation.

PLEASE SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

I have seen people have panic attacks similar to what you described but losing conscience is rare. To echo others, go to your general practitioner and talk to him about what happened. Be sure to mention the circumstances (use of herb). If you don't feel comfortable talking to your GP about your smoking and any other drug use find another and start afresh, it is important to have a dialog about such things so you are aware of possible health consequences and your GP can give an accurate diagnosis. I know this all might seem a little dire but it likely isn't, just get checked out and you should have nothing to worry about.

Edit: I have also seen a first (and only) time smoker KO'd due to some sort of blood related issue though I don't remember which. It wasn't anything major and her one episode was coupled with tobacco smoking.
