what effect does high heat in the end of flower have???

what effect does high heat in the end of flower have???

My current weather conditions have dramatically risen so I am wondering what effect this will have. The heat during the lights on is about 34C (93F) they are 43 days into flower, up until a week ago the temps were never above 28C in the cab...
SO what effects could the high heat have in the last flower phase?? And what do I need to worry about? What can I do to help the plant finish up nicely? Mist with water a lot? Reduce lights on period to 10hrs are some thoughts I had. I already have a air cooled hood and plenty of fans, AC unti is not worth it since this will be last grow until the temps come down again.

Any ideas ???:chin:

Thank you all!!

hi m8
Well u aint far away*smiles*

Mmm Myself i justed added a extra fan blowing in there(its doing ok at keeping the temps ok)
Last summer i used a house fan blowing in thru some ducting(but thats not to stealthy(but effective)

As u mention,Next grow have the lights to go off during the day(not much help this grow for u tho)

Also check that your Exhaust fan is well taped up,so that it is not wasting any of its power(i am sure yours is well taped tho)*smiels*

Well any temps over 90 degress is not good. Plants usually stop growing or grow really slowly at this point. When it comes to flowering it may retard flowering and take longer to mature. I'm not sure. This is why alot of growers take the warm months off and take a break from indoors. The temps are too high and it's a waste of time to grow indoors if you don't have AC in your grow room.

yeah I was going to be done 4 weeks ago but the first 5 seed batch was all males :( so I wasted a whole month vegging and here we are today. Luckily I got some nice clones for the fall/winter grow :joint:

I guess I'll see what happens when it's all over

My grow room got in the mid 90's at the end of my grow and the buds would never get nice and tight like they should, I'm not sure, but I blamed the heat. I even waited 90 days of 12-12 and they still didn't get tight. It is still good smoke but no weight to it. I ended up with 6 oz from 9 papaya girls growing scrog under 400W HPS.
Hope you have better luck. Let me know if yours have the same problem , if so we can be pretty sure that the heat caused the air bud.

Agree with nickel on the airy bud: you'll end up with fluff if temps get (and stay) too high. Had the same issue with my last indoor grow--the stuff was good quality but the texture was lighter than optimal.

With temps like 90 degrees your flowers will start to space apart, to get more air circulation. You dont want fluffy flowers though, so I suggest adding another fan or something...

It will take more than another fan, I had three fans running all the time and an exhaust fan also, got plenty of circulation but needed some cooler air to circulate. I even had a fan blowing at my light fixture all the time. I plan to do something different to get cool air into my grow closet, my A/C duct work runs through this closet so I may put a vent in there, but that wont help in the winter when the heat is on.

I'm open for any suggestions.

I dont know if anyone has tried this or if it will help but I was once told to remedy heat stress in plants to put ice cubes on the soil, which keeps them cool and waters them...

R U sure about that statment? Something tells meyou may not be correct. MJ is a tropical plant (sativa) and it does get hot. Even areas were Indicas are found have EVEN higher day time temperatures if I am correct. Anyone esle have opnions and/or facts?

They can handle the heat during veg time but when the days go to 12-12 they are looking for cooler temps. As far as they know its supposed to be fall and the buds don't get tight without those cooler temps. I believe even during the veg cycle the girls prefer the low 80s.
