Just curious.

i use a Vaportek 4000 with a 'neutral' cartridge.

what are you using, if anything?

I use a Cann #50 carbon filter + a Uvonair 5000 ozone gen + a Vaportek 4000 with a 'neutral' cartridge.

But since i went with the Vaportek 4000 last april, the others aren't really needed anymore :D

Peace

In order of purchase
carbon scrubber
ionizer
vaportek
ozone gen (about to purchase)
Even with carbon scrubber and vaportek, those who know can still tell. Vaportek just kinda mixes with the odor and without the carbon scrubber it's just wrong, lol. I'd say the carbon does about 80% or so. The fan w/ builtin ionizer is worthless. I'm planning on getting an ozone gen to put in the ventillation exhaust...

edit: not directed at you OrganicHydro! Just personal experience. I've had to crank the vaportek past 6 where it just gets too strong, but the odor is still present. Maybe not to the untrained olefactory receptors, but I guess it's like when you see a defect in something most don't notice it, but it jumps out at you everytime you see it, lol.

My carbon does the job....no smell till you step into the room... better than it coming up through the floor like it used to do.....

i use right guard or lynx :bat: just kidding,, a good old fashioned carbon filter

a big carbon scrubber - 'cause that cheese realy stinks - I bought it after overhearing some local kids -

kid 1 - 'christ it smells of weed 'round here'

Kid 2 - 'yep thats brightside's house - it always smells of weed' :yoinks:

Ok you can get away with this sort of thing in the UK these days because the police would rather ignore it - but it is a risk so £150 on a carbon filter and fan and my friends were coming to the door saying they could not smell the weed any more - :woohoo:

ive got a carbon filter 100 series with an 800 plus cfm fan. I leave it on 24/7 and let it continuously scrub the air. works like a charm. peace D.L.

I'm about to pick up a v4000.

I was wondering if anyone has tried their other products, like the ez twist, or the vaportronics. I understand the differences between the products, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. Would be nice to just mount one of those inside the flower area, and one in the veg. I'll end up getting the 4000, better safe than sorry.

I use a carbon filter but am also interested in the Vaportek 4000. I have a few questions for those that have a Vaportek 4000.

How's the neutral smell? Does it smell like ozium? The description on their website says:
The clean, fresh fragrance is based on a blend of eucalyptus and pine oils, creating an effective, natural odor neutralizer. The powerful ingredients make it ideal for treating areas with severe malodor problems.
The unit seems fair priced at around US$170 but the cartridges are around $50?! Does anyone have pics of the cartridge and how it works? Do you keep the unit in the growroom (closet) or outside the growroom?

is there a way to search everyone's picture gallery (ie: search keyword in picture gallery) or just search forums?

The people here that have had great results with the vaportek also may have similar growroom setups where as certain individuals who have not had favorable results may have similarities as to why it's more affective for one where for another it is not.

A sealed, somewhat sealed area is where the vaportek could be in contact with the odor in a more concentrated area, or an open area with only air circulation and not a confined air exchange setup, where positive pressures from within the room will push odor through any available crack and void anywhere in the room.
