So, I posted this over in the hydro forum but got no response. Maybe you cats can shed some light.

Hey guys,
I'm new to SS#4 and having a little trouble with ph. Ph going in would be 6ish and the runoff would be 4.8-5.2 so I bumped it up to 6.7 it would still come back really low. After 15 years and many runs with RW, hydroton, and RDWC, I thought SS would be a breeze! I included a couple of pics. You'll see some twisting of the fan leaves, and a bit of a leathery look which I always believed was high ph. I'm keeping my temps at around 78, RH of 45-55% the plant in the pic is a Grape Ape and about 30 days in.
I have plants in veg that don't look real happy either. All of the leaves are nice and soft but are a little pale.
I'm using GH micro and bloom basically the Lucas formula with some florablend and floralicious.
If you are a SS#4 user...I'd love to hear your thoughts. What do you set your ph for veg, flower etc.. I hung my ego up years ago so a full on tutorial won't hurt my feelings lol.
Thanks in advance,
OldSoul
