I think that you must place your extractor just after the carbon filter to don't loose any "horsepower".

A 250 sodium in this area is a good density of lights, if you deal well with your climate you will enjoy fat buds.

No need for the large pots at this stage, work your way up from seedling pots to start with.
only pot up as your babies fill the pots out ( the roots)

The roots are your fruits man....

I ran 250s for years before uparading to 600s and 1ks, imo you'll be wishing you had an air cooled hood. 250s still get pretty hot.

how do you find the 250, i was looking at the air cooled hood, how good are they ?, whats your view on the 250w hps ? compared to say a 400 or 600 ? :D

A 250w used right can produce buds just as nice as bigger lights albeit the buds are smaller, and you can grow less plants under a 250 compared to like a 1k because the foot print is smaller.

With 250w your useable light penatration is only about 12 inches, so you have to keep plants really short for best results.

When I ran a 250 I was pulling over 2 zips per plant so they can do well.

As for air cooled hoods there's many options available, for a 250 you'd want a smaller sized hood or cooltube.

It would help with the dimensions of your over all area (space)

600 watt will work for 1.0-1.2 metre square, i have run 1000 watt in that space
with adequate extraction and head room....
