I use 'pot' if I'm talking to another head. If I'm talking to a noob or a med patient, I usually say "Cannabis".
Cannabis is the 'today' word for it.

Calling it flower or meds just gets a funny look, my drugs are not flowers or medicine. We get high, no need to sugar coat it. Not trying to be more socially acceptable.
Shootouts to "the shit" and "marijahoobie." In the days of yore on the phone it was just "you got time for me to stop by?" with no use of code words. They knew why I called.

Usually just call it weed unless talking in a professional setting then it's cannabis. Growing up in Northern Cali I used to hear it called Dank and Chronic a lot. Doja always made me laugh too, almost always said by some suburban kid who heard it in a rap song trying to be cool. Around New Zealand it's also often commonly referred to as "Dak", not sure why but I don't really like the term.

Mexico weed gets you high but you need a low tolerance you can't smoke all day and be satisfied I think most of this problem is early harvested buds and smoking it all day every day because it's cheap and abundant in my shit hole
