just looking for any opinions that might help me diagnose this promblem. just stared week 4 of flowering and noticed these rusty spots on foilage along with green to pale to yellow dieing leaves. to me it seems like it could be mag or potassium deficiency. i dont know..... :1help:

I would say it is one of 2 things. 1 being a calcium def. 2 It possible being a PH issue. Are checking your PH balance? Are these leave's the worst part of the plant? You most likely caught it in time but you need to react so you dont get nute lock out. If it were me I would check the PH first then if that dont help try adding something thats going to give you a little more calcium and build it up. A little bit more information would be helpful also. In one of these posts they give you a templete you can copy and paste to fill out. Good luck and hope I could help.

you guys are awesome for such quick responses.i'm using a 50/50 mix of happy frog soil and chunky perlite.i'm using r/o machine so the base nutes include sensi bloom 2 part, metanaturals calcium, uncle jhons magnesium, additives include big bud, bud candy, silica blast, carbo load and organic tea and sugar every other week. ph is consistently at 6.0,temp is 78 deg, ppm week 4-7 right at 1500. for the most everything is perfect except for the yellowing and rust spots. the last pic is probably the worst

So you do nutrients one week then just plain water the next? Seems like alot of nutrients for just one watering. Did you start slow and work your way up % wise with nutes? Seems like your doing everything right. Maybe over fertilizing? If those aint whats wrong maybe its pests of some sort. I really cant help much more. Sorry and good luck.

Im guessing 7 weeks for finishing on the strain? If so you could just be getting lack of nitrogen at this point in time. Which is good of course because you really dont want alot of green on your plant (except for bud) when you harvest.

i think i got it. talking to one of my graden gnomes friends 1500 ppm for soil is way to high he say no more than 1000 ppms and substitute plain water every 2nd or 3rd watering. so its seems i have over fertilized my crop but caught it just in time. thankx kushy,mr. hades, and i n hail

6 is lower than I like for soil

also it sounds like you are way over doing the nutes

a good organic tea is all you really need, all that other stuff gets in my way

call my old fashioned, but when people start listing 10 different nutes they are using at one time I always think it seems silly.

and when you say ph is 6 that is the nutrient solution you pour in or the runoff water from the pots?

and just to ask, you didn't add any lime to the soil mix at all?

ph going in is 6 coming out about 6.1 to 6.4. no lime but soil is balanced at 7. yea to much nutes for soil

cut the nutes in half for sure! also, you're using too much crap you don't need imvho. keep the 2 part and the cal+mag and ditch the rest. carbo at the end if you want but you don't need it. big bud is ok, but use at 1/4 str if at all.

silica can be useful for weak stemmed strains, barricade from AN is potassium silicate and a few drops will raise your ph which is also useful

calcium deficiency should cause more than jus those spots. and being localized around the veins and on older leaves leads me to believe may b iron toxicity. jus a thought. and also the ph is slightly high. the nutes are outrageously high. i top out at 1500-1800 before flush. so it's almost definitely a toxicity and not a defficiency. dont rule out the ozone damage too but this would be very localized to the exposed area.
