what could be causing this? [PIC]

ok, so here's the story...

i'm growing 5 passion #1 (amstel gold) plants (started with 10 fem seeds; had a shitload of bad luck) and 1 Sour NLX... and they were doing just fine (after survivig pest/snail/slug/rat/rabbit attacks and a lot of hail) until this week... i went to see and water them after 6 days of extremely hot weather (~40° C throught the day), and here's what i've seen...

:nono: :nono: :nono:
(i dont have a digital camera right now, so i scanned 2 leaves)
the left leaf is Sour NLX, and the right one is Passion #1

what could be causing this?

i suppose its not underwatering, maybe a nute burn of some kind?
my soil PH level could be acidic (i dont have a ph meter :s) because i've been growing on the same spot for three years now and i've been using a lot of chemical ferts...

this year i started using Megagreen (link), a lot.. :rasta: this nut right here is "non-toxic, non-polluting" and you can't over do it... or can you?

the thing is, i foliar fed with megagreen following the instructions on the package (maybe added a little more of it), but the last time i did it, i didnt return the next day to rinse the residue off the leaves... i did it six days later.. :( could clogged pores be causing this?

help, please

that's sum crazed heat for the ladies to take.

the leaves could be anything from ageing, heat stress, low water, or ph. being outdoors...this is outside?

more info needed.

nute burn would curel tips up and the leaves usually get bright green w/extra nutes.

That fert is mostly calcium. Your going to turn your plants into an eggshell. At least you can paint it for the big easter egg hunt. :D

Potassium, calcium, and magnesium all compete. If you give alot of one, a deficiency of another will occur. Since the ferts do have a little bit of magnesium also, I bet your seeing potassium problems.

Try giving the plants n, p, k ferts. Do this lightly since your in hot weather. Also you might water once with some epsom salts.

there is multiple problems fix the magnesium with the Epsom salts test the NPK ...what black velvet said. The dead necrotic spot in the middle of the leaf is the killer here. You may need to change as much of the soil as you can as soil can take a long time to recover from abuse.BTW extremely hot weather is a lousy time for a Spray feeding. Seeing the whole plant would be easier. Did this start at the bottom or top?

I noticed...

I noticed...

that the PH is rising everywhere my friends from San Diego on up through BC plotted. these guys know their areas and they say that even after adding all the usual amendments and such like dolomite lime etc, that the PH is going from high 6's to high 8's between waterings. they are all having some success w the autoflowerers but the actual grows that are dependent on the photoperiod are telling me as the season progresses, the PH is deforming and stunting/locking up. when such defics attack a plant so quickly, I would suggest it is PH related... what are you using for ferts? where does your water come from? have you tested your soil or water?

What kind of soil?
we'll, i dont know exactly what type of soil is it, it just brown earthy soil... lol
the thing is - i did use some commercial soil (some cheap humus, nothin fancy), about 15 L per plant... but i suppose the deeper roots are in the regular soil by now...

i do use regular ferts. i use a 7-6-6 liquid fert (my mum use it for her flowers), and i've mixed some slow-releasing fert into the soil (46% N)... occasionally i use some special fert for foliar feeding, i do not know the nut ratio of this one...

i bring water from my house... i didnt test anyting, no... i should look into that and invest.. but i just keep saying - next year.. :)

at the bottom.. the bottom leaves just started wilting and dropping... :S

btw you guys all keep talking about epsom salts.. well, i'm having trouble figuring out what that really is (in my language), and where can i get it? maybe there is some cheap practical way.. you know, like beers&slugs, eye drops&ants, dehidrated efedrine nose drops&goa trance.. things like that. :)))

MgSO4 magnesium sulfate you can get at the drugstore. Try adding 1 teaspoon (5ml) per 3.8 liters (1 gallon). Water the plant once with it.

I keep hearing people say epsom salts, and i know what mgso4 is, but i have absolutely no idea what the mgso4 does for the plant?

I have some plants with the same symptoms, but indoors.
