Looking to purchase a Co2 controller. Co2 will be generated from gas water heater & furnace. What controller would you purchase, or what are you guys using and like. what is garbage? what is good. under $500.
I use CCP's ppm2a fuzzy logic co2 controller+monitor. Its $650, but well worth it! It learns how yer growroom uses co2 and adjusts..It holdsmy ppm levels at 1500 all the time. The readings only vary about 15 -20 ppm. Knowing yer ppm levels at all times, can really make a man sleep better.
Yea those controllers are nice,if you use the syringe/co2 tube test properly, its a very accurate test too.Thats what I use. Most hydro places sell them for 5 dollars apiece but you can get boxes of 10 for 30 dollars from Dawson and associates 770-963-0207
i use the matador, its $1000 but made sort of locally to me, and wont break down. i asked a few hydroshops which ones come in for repair. they all said they repair cap3's but havent reapired matadors
Checkout the GreenAir Co2 Set Point Controller.
About $550 retail or $480 online.
I have a friend that runs one with no complaints. Set the ppm level and thats it. It also has a photo controller to automatically turn off your co2 device at night.
Do these controllers work in place of the cyclestat?Do they control frequency and duration of burn,or do you still need a cyclestat for that.Basically I set it and forget it too,I just dont have a monitor but it stays damn consistent now that I'm rid of the portable AC.They would be more worth it if they took the place of the cyclestat alsoEDIT Another words are they controller/monitors or just monitors?
Fast pine: not so sure about the fuzzy logic, Adapting control to garden sounds great, but I will not have a constant co2 supply. depending on water or heat usage, the controller may get confused in thinking that garden is taking to much co2, it's demanding co2, the valve is open, but the furnace isnt on. the controller Sits in limbo for 2hrs before the furnace kicks on. then bam, the room jumped from 1000 ppms to 1500 in 60 seconds. causing inconsistent data, confusing the controller.
Unless i had 2 controllers. one set lower say 1000, connected to a constant supply. and whatever over 1000 the 2nd controller gets from the furnace.
I wonder about industrial controllers. If you can monitor and control more then 1 function? Like ones used in parking garages. get one used. Gotta look into that abit more.
Greenair seems the way to go sofar..
On another note, not sure if fact or theory, using a 12 on 8 off during flower, will shorten your total flower time. anyone practice, exeprienced or read this also?
Now thats nice, maybe I'll get 1 oneday.Just took another test I'm around 2000PPM I started out with 2 full boxes of 10 a couple weeks ago and I have 1 left lol,I've got it tight though for sure.
