What bug do you think this is?

I woke up this morning and found two tiny bugs flying around my baby clone. They have wings, are light green, and are about an 1/8th inch long.

I think they're baby grasshoppers, which is nothing to worry about (right?). What do you guys think?

i think their to big to be white flies. plus their green. they dont look any thing like the aphids ive seen. ive never seen aphids with wings.its not thrips, scale or spider mites. not mealybugs...... so i guess I have to say that I have no idea what those are. I think white flies only get to be as big as a 16th of an inch.

fungus gnat maybe i dunno but i bet getting rid of it is if not exactally like getting rid of them as it is getting rid of these some GNATROL cleared me up with my lil fly problem in a few days i got my gnats from a baf of FF ocean forest

i highly doubt it is a fungus gnat.. they are usually black, and smaller than 1/8th inch.. my best guess is that it either a lacewing or a leafhopper..

<--------- green lacewing

although this particular picture of a certain species of leafhopper could be your pest

Thanks everybody!

Hey your bug is called a leafhopper.

Thats it! They looked just like this one:

plh.jpg

"Potato leafhoppers are wedge-shaped, 1/8-inch long, green, active insects. They use their piercing-sucking mouthparts to remove sap from the potato leaf. These small insects fly readily."

They're gone now though, but I'll keep a look out for them!
