What bagged soil to use for 100gal?

Need some help on what soil to use for 100gal pots. In the past have used FFOF with pretty good results just using water. I have read a lot lately that FFOF isn't the same soil as it was a few years ago? It seems they are coming with RA and Gnats? So i was gonna use a different kind of soil this time. I would like to know what you guys would recommend or use?

Thanks! Priznn

Amend with mosquito bits, or gnatrol, to control ra and fungus gnats

ocean forest, black gold, vermifire, all good choices.

Isn't vermifire pretty hot? My mom's doing this grow and she won't know wtf to do as ammending the soil goes?? Just looking for a good bagged soil that she can water and watch them grow!

If its available in her area Denali Gold is a pretty sweet bagged soil, needs much less amending than a typical commercial soil. Roots 707 would probably be an easier to find option but also require some amending for really optimal results.

Yeah they have it in her area, but the website doesn't show it. I used the location finder on the Denali Gold

She's east of redding in the woods.

The Vermifire needs no amending at all. Water only for the first 4-6 weeks. Super healthy plants, check my album.

Those look nice! What size smarties are those? What do you feed after the first couple months? This is for a elderly lady, she was just giving them water and still killed it!

Whats BT... Bayer Tree?

Bacillius Thurigensis. It's a bacterial based pesticide that is non-harmful to mammals and considered organic/green friendly. You can find plenty of products at home depot or any big nursery that contain it as the primary ingredient.

You can also use mosquito dunks, or let the soil dry up a little and use DE ( have no idea on Spelling HAHA )
