what are the hotest air temps that inline fans can handle?

I was wondering if anybody knew where to find the max operating temps of Vortex or Can-fan inline fans. What is the hottest air you can runnng through these fans? I was to be runnng the hot air output of a portable a/c into an inline fan. The portable a/c puts out air at 150 plus degrees.

find out what the melting point of the metal is..LOL...but seriously i don't think you need to worry about that....the plants in your garden will be dead long before your fan melts

150 degrees is nothing...

Skunk, you will find those fans will do the job you want just fine. You will for certain have them downstream from the coils some (or should), and with good air flow the fans will not be seeing 150degF.

i haven't found any continous max air temps specs online yet so i'm going to make some calls but anyways here how the set up will be: a 10" or 8" vortex fan pushing air through a can-filter and pulling air from a 8" 3-way T duct. one end of the T sucking hot air from 2 1000's and the other end of the T sucking 150+ degree hot air from the portable a/c. the vortex fan will be close to the portable a/c like maybe 5 feet. so the question once again is will the fan be able to handle the continous 150+ degree air? even at 5 feet it is still this hot.

i think i'm just going to hook up the portable a/c in the room and run the output right into the vortex fan and then to the ceiling ( the way i am venting it ) and let it run 24 hours. i just dont want the fan going into thermal shut down.

just wanted to see if any of you guys with your a/c boxes would have any answers for me. thanks for the replies.

On my Vortex, I believe it is written on the label. Want to say it was 80C on mine?

well that is around 176 F. so that would leave me with a 20 to 30 degree threshold since the portable a/c put out 150 F. i'll do the test and see hat happens i guess.
