About Petrich the first MJ i smoked was from there haha When i was teenager we were buying weed from south Bulgaria where the weather is better for growing. may be now they use some new seeds,i,m not sure but now is the busting season there

However, the new Bulgarian history is much more interesting. After the World War II the winners most unscrupulously left the whole Eastern and Southeastern Europe in the hands of the communist dictator Stalin, having driven all Roma away from Western Europe to the periphery of the continent. There they were accepted by countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Greece in order to be saved from killing by the nazi. What were we supposed to do - they are people above all. So, first the western countries chase away the Roma, then they tell us off about them; first they involve us into the war, then they throw us away as a used cloth. After all this slop the communist mafia in Bulgaria was born, and it is still ruling the country. But all western countries mock at us because we are poor - how can we explain to the sleek european citizen that it is not the people but the vile communist mafia is to blame for the image of the country and if you oppose the mafia - it will kill your whole family.
Since 1944 all governmental positions in the country have been occupied by the communist mafia. Moreover, in the 90s and 2000 criminals were sent to the western countries in order to commit outrages thus creating wrong image of and intolerance to the Bulgarian people, believing that the western societies would be so disgusted from the Bulgarians that nobody would be interested in them. So the mean communists would continue ruling unimpeded by the European institutions.
It is impossible to do business in Bulgaria if not allowed by the com-mafia. Justice in Bulgaria is a dirty word - it simply does not exist. Judges, prosecutors - all are appointed by the same mafia. Other countries have MAFIA, in Bulgaria the MAFIA has a country.

Sacra, it is my opinion that these crime organizations have flourished because a vacuum of sorts was created when the socialist governments fell. Rather like the vacuum the US has created in Iraq, which is filled by people with an agenda, because they *can*.

Very, very sad. Reminds me of that movie, Lord of War (Nicholas Cage, very good story).

SeaMaiden, exactly, the movie is so real, as if it has been made about Bulgaria! Vacuum was created in 1944 when the whole Europe was at war and Eastern Europe was abandoned by the allies in the hands of the communist dictator Stalin - at that time the communists saw their chance, they grabbed the power and held it until 21st century. But in 1990 the children and grandchildren of the communists "oligarchs" lost their power in the first free elections in the country after 50 years of dictatorship. They were so outraged and caused bancruptcy in every economic sector in the country through underhand dealings and draining out the state budget thus seeking redemption for the lost elections and hoping that the freightened and bankrupt people would re-elect them just to stop the hunger and murders. They caused several pre-term elections and finally (through forgery on the election day) were able to regain power. And during all that time Europe closed eyes but did not stop with the mocking and humiliation.
For the past 3 years there has been a better government trying to fight with the com-mafia (though there are some communists among them), but the mafia is so deeply entangled into the state administration that it is almost impossible to work honestly. Despite that the government was able to fulfill the Maastricht conditions for a stable and reliable budget. We are one of the three countries within the EU without a budget deficit and our external debt has been reduced to 3.5% of the gross domestic product. And when half of the strong economies in the EU are facing bankruptcy, we are among the outstanding countries in Europe but do we get the respect we deserve after all privations and miserable wages - noo, they are still mocking at us. I don't know what they want now - may be the populist governments in Europe scare their citizens with a wave of imigrants saying that we would occupy their work places? Just the opposite - our country is so beautiful and the people so hospitable that nobody would go anywhere if they didn't have to. It is important that the mafia is reduced to the bearable minimum, then there would be work for everybody. Now all big companies belong to the mafia and they determine the wages which are unbearable. And Europe just stands and looks at us, sometimes mocking at us. Well, we still love Europe because it is our home. Moreover, the Bulgarians have a saying: do good and see what happens.
The US embassador in Bulgaria tried to help us pointing out the problems of the country in the field of the judicial system and money laundering but the com-mafia quickly tried to compromise him aiming at his discreditation from the public life accusing him that he had smoked marijuana. So what, does this make him a bad person? However, he did not give up and continued helping us - we should not forget that a great democracy is behind him.

OK,the mafia is bad but tell me who burns cables just next to the beautiful Osum river where i usually go swimming with my kid?!Here we have places that u can sell metals and thats why some people (mostly gypsies but many Bulgarians to)are making this mess....They are stealing every wire they can get,rubbing the old people backyards and homes to. The problem is that most of the people are so poor(they are keeping us that way on purpose) that if u show them 500 dollars they will do anything,they will lie,they will steel and many people dont have dignity at allI'm sorry to say that but we cant blame only the mafia.
Ánd about the US ambassador.........he couldn't provide shale gas here so they will send us another one,this time woman, with same mission(by the way i hurt she is ex Monsanto employer haha)and this government unfortunately is almost the same like previous.and there is no great democracy standing behind him,we all know thatjust interests....Before Russia,now-America....

Pfu,enough with depression this is Bulgarian wild canna field,nice for watching but very small content of THCthe plants looking extremely healthy,fat buds,fast flowering and many different phenos,interesting.I ihink if some breeder can take these plants and make them stronger they will be great for European climate. If u are passing by and see fields like this in BG better dont loose your time to try smoking them

People are careless with their environment everywhere, Ina. I see it here, I've seen it south of the border (Mexico), I see it in Puerto Rico where many people are so worried about what the US government might be giving them while they're polluting their beautiful island (the diving is not good at all there), and I've seen it in Bali in Denpasar, Ubud, all the larger areas.

Out here thieves are killing themselves trying to steal LIVE electric cables/wiring! When someone is desperate, they'll do anything.

Actually (we can't forget Kennewick Man here), I think that we're going to find that humans populated the Americas in at least two waves. It's clear that SA had humans before we can establish their presence in NA, and I've read the same numbers you have, around 35,000-40,000 years ago. I have a feeling you're a little bit familiar with the people of Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island). IIRC, it has now been established that their skeletons don't just resemble South Pacific Islanders, genetically they are descended from them.

We have also fairly well established, genetically and linguistically, as well as
religiously' that NA natives are likely descended from an Asiatic people whose descendants still live in Siberia. That means that pretty much all NA natives, from Apache Chiracahua to Navajo, from Iroquois to Inuit, have descended from these peoples.

So we have at least two different 'source' or originating populations, because we can show a wave of Pacific Islanders, and a wave of Asiatics. Whether or not they crossed the Bering Strait is, in my opinion, moot. And let me tell you why. The Channel Islands in California. We have evidence of people going out to them, and these are out in the ocean, at least 12,000-13,000 years ago. Oh WHAT? Yeah. So, seems to me that there is just as much a likelihood that North America was peopled by an ocean-going culture as South America may have been.

I'm also a firm believer that we're going to push the origins of language, art and religion far beyond the bounds of H. sapiens, easily into H. erectus territory. No scientific basis for this belief, just my gut feeling.

SeaMaiden, I completely agree with you. I have been reading a lot about the theory of the ancient astronauts, particularly that some people suppose that in the dawn of human civilization we have been visited by aliens. I don't know whether it's true but it's very interesting, if there has been such a meeting, how spooky would be that?
This summer I went fishing around these places, it was great. This is Tsonevo lake, about an hour's drive from Varna and Kardzhali and Studen kladenets lakes, about 2 hours from Plovdiv.
