Yeah, I just wanted to share something with the group. I know there is a ton of animal lovers here. Forgive me if my typing is bad. I a just going on no sleep for a bit. our Greyhound had 13 pups and now there is only 7 left. 1 of them will probably not make it but we cant give up. the stronger pups push her away from the teats. So every 2 hrs we feed her..EVERY 2 hrs day and night.I was online here earlier and felt ok..made a few posts and such but now just feel run down with the lack of sleep. Ummm yeah here she is.

best of luck, I've been there myself, the one pup that I had to hand feed was so small that he couldn't take in enough food in one feeding every 4 hours, so like you I had to go every 2 hours with 1/2 portions, I lived alone, it depleted every ounce of strength and emotion from me. the mind game it played truly consumed me.

I'll say a prayer for you guys and your little girl, hope she makes it bro.......

EDIT:
Here's my little champ, my bro Hank took the pic for me, Dec of '06.

I was hell bent on keeping a female from the litter, but if Champ had lived I was keeping him instead, the bond was strong but he gained no real weight and finally started to lose weight, it was a battle that couldn't be won.

so how's that little girl doing bro?

are you letting mama lick up on her belly to promote her pooping?

Hi Useful, I had a pup I had to feed by hand until it was better. I've taken them to work with me, in the past too. They get more attention at work than at home! Keep up the good work. :ying: jpt

Hope your little one makes it through these rough times... Well wishes and positive vibes your way. There is no better bond than a man and his dog....

excellent news Useful, gonna keep her???
you and your wife are imprinted on her big time.

another week or two and she'll be ready to fight for some nipple on mama though, right?

if I didn't have this wingnut Scooby I'd have a bid in on that little one already.......

We have decided we are going to keep her. We have been putting her on mommas tit while some of the others are napping. I am very confident. I want to keep all of them but then we would have 11 dogs. Ummm no. Thanks for the support everyone.

Beware of baby formulas. They contain a lot of garbage not good for babies of any kind

Whole Foods, among other places, sell RAW milk for pets. Not usually in the dairy area. Just ask for i. Best to call in advance to make sure

Vitality Science website has lots of useful articles on care and feeding
