Weird situation today!!! Might scrap it

Im about a week from flower and im having trouble getting my carbon scrubber to clean the smell. I wouldnt think id be "on the radar" as this is my first run in 8 years and I live inj adiff state. Who knows,, ive bought filters lights etc from peopel on ebay so who knows. ok here is what happened.

Im about to scrap this project actually. I had a REALLY WEIRD experience today. My house is next to an alley so this mirnong I heard people talking outside barely, then I heard that police scanner sound !!! I thought it was my next door neighbors in the alley with the truck and it was something from them. I peaked out snd didnt see anything. so I threw on some clothes in like 5 seconds, ran out to see if i saw anything, nothing. OK now heres where it gets extra strange. I went into the bathroom to do my business kind of wigging out. I hear someone walk up onto the porch steps. I finished my business and peaked out. It was FED Ex guy walking back to the truck. I knew I wasnt expecting any packages so I waited until they left to see if there was a door tag. NO DOOR TAG and im not expecting anything. There were also 2 drivers I think cuz when the guy got back to his truck I saw him kind of throw u his arms a little getting into the truck like he was talking to someone. Im not expecting any packages, no door tag and it appeard he had nothing in his hands as I saw him walking back to the truck. I almost walked out but thought id wait to see if there was a door tag or package. There was neither. Dude thats too fucked up and it all happened within 5 mnutes of each other. Im ready to scrap it . That was too weird of a stretch of events!

Police don't dress up as Fedex unless they busting you for a mail delivery. I doubt they have a Fedex vehicle also. It was probably a case of mistaken address or the fedex guys looking for an address.

Im really wigging out. Just hearing that police scanner sound "shhh blah balh shhhh" outside my window, not seeing anyone when I went to the alley. then 5 minutes later guy coming to my door and not leaving a door tag, 2 drivers no package in hand. I ordered seeds from x and another from Seedbay. 2 small orders but those arent fed ex I think!! I hate indoor growing, scares the crap out of me. I thought I will get up tomorrow and see if the Fed ex guy returns and doesnt leave a tag again etc. I like the input fellas, thanks.

Gardening equipment is not illegal, chill out and relax dude if you have not told anyone and nobody else has seen your grow then you are fine. If you have done so then be worried.

I would also have called Fedex and asked why a deliveryman was at my place. Something along the lines of "did I miss a delivery today, maybe flowers from someone?" IT IS VALENTINES DAY so maybe they were delivering flowers and really did have the wrong address with the wrong kind of flowers!

yeah ive been mum and my grow is unknown to everyone besides my best friend but thats not a concern. I just wish I knew what that police scanner sound was outside my window very close!! I even heard "89" "shhhshshh" etc thats when I got some clothes on to go outside and look. so I looked up "89" on google and it was "crimes against nature" or something like that.for the code etc LOL. I couldnt see left or right out the window who it was. Im probably ok . im only a month in with 1000 watt light, not a huge grow with insane electric bills. those 2 strange events within 5 minutes realy got me wigged out. I hate LEO,

mj23, that "police scanner" sound you describe could be some other device that sounds similar. Could just be one of the Nextel type push to talk phones, or the little walkie talkie thingies families etc. use to keep track of each other when out shopping, at events and the like.

And as Mr. Sweettooth said, if they are there to do a take down, they ain't waiting on you to sus out the situation-they just coming in gangbusters.

Maybe have your buddy stop by and see if he smells your grow, just to be sure your carbon filters are working.

I couldn't tell you for sure mine are working cause I'm around the garden so much I am acclimated to the smell and don't notice it, that is until I am gone from the garden for a bit and come back - boom, that lovely funk (by for me only-not the whole damn neighborhood).

Sounds like just a bit of the noids, relax you should be fine.

Man you guys have made me feel better. Yeah I have a brand new scrubber fit for the size of room im doing. Its a stand alone good seal no ducting It just pulls air from the filter to the fan. Im acclimated also so I dont notice the smell until I walk in. its a sealed room, besides the cracks in the door and the underneath of the door"1/2 inch gap". Not sure if thats the reason I still smell it when I come in the house. It should work and scrub that room! I just slowed it down to see if that makes a difference. Its just creepy that scanner noise was inches from my grow room LOL. I was thinking maybe they were using some clown to come to my door and see if they could smell when I opened it etc. I cant wait to move to the upstairs level so im not right next to the alley...wheww. I thought about calling fed ex but I assume with no tracking # they arent going to locate anything...

Ohh it doesnt take much to get me paranoid I got one off ebay for almost $200 that retails for$350 a 6 inch 440 cfm. It helps but Im not even in flower yet and I can still smell it sometimes. I have my own house but tenants int the 2nd unit. I dont want them having friends over smelling it coming up the stairs or outside in the alley. Ive been walking at times and ive smelled grows going down the sidewalk before. I cant be "that guy " I really need 0 smell or im going to be noiding out all the time.

The police scanner could have just been a device that belonged to the Fedex guy. It's not unusual to have 2 people in the truck. Here in nyc there's usually a driver and another person that actually goes door to door to drop packages.

I've been ordering equipment off ebay for years. Again, it's legal to have all that stuff, so I wouldn't worry.

The smell is probably an issue. I would suggest asking a friend if they can smell it from outside, particularly where you heard the noise.

Find yourself some low odor strains like Sweet Tooth for instance, seeds to be made avail soon from Gypsy. There really is no reason to be growing stinky ass skunk smelling strains when odor is an issue.
