Hey all,
Im growing outdoors in Aus, growing my plants in a mix of potting soil/perlite&vermiculite/blood&bone meal/ + epsom salts(small amount).Feed half stregnth seasol + bio100(every three or four days).

Two of my plants have a localized sort of wilt, its like one section of a leaf has lost turgidity and changed in colour, the location of the effected area makes me think it might be caused by my feeding , but ide like a second oppinion.

cheers

Hey Brushtail!

I'm no out door expert but sounds like you just described over watering. And it can be done outside. Where the two plants are is there any kind of vally near or a slope that will gravity feed water away or to your plant? Do you hand water it? When do you water? Was there clay at the bottom of the hole you dug?

Hey weed22man, Thanks for replying. The plants are currently in pots, the first thing i thought was overwatering and ferts, so ive stopped watering and am waiting till they are bone dry. The problem is soil plants take alot more time to see changes. So its a wait and see approach atm.

cheers

Hey Brushtail!

Ohhh what size pots are they in? Do you got drainage holes in the bottoms? How big are the girls right now?

Thx weed22man for the speedy reply :)

Girls range from 3 weeks old to 1 and a half week old, still weiii babies :D . Plenty of drainage, soil seems to retain water really well so im going to space watering. Pot size i have no idea but there is plenty of room for them to grow out and up :p.

cheers

It's better to step pot sizes..early on..very little water..so the roots grow to find it..small pots mean less distance to air..just as important as moisture is O2..
the more the roots can breathe the more vigor..tall narrow containers are better than short fat ones..they drain better..
big pots early on hold water in places the roots won't get to for awhile..that water stagnates and may help prevent air from getting to where your roots are now
or rot the roots you have..I made the same mistake years ago..plants stayed in long periods of wilt..
I leave em in 16oz(500ml) cups for several weeks, then 1 gals(3.8L) till right before flower..
then 3.5gals(13.3L) and maybe 7 gals(26.5L) depending on plant and time in veg..hope this helps some..

you might have my problems next..buds that are too big for the plant..hehe
btw..these are in the 3.5 gal pots..I get used containers from the nursery for like a dollar a piece..
