WEED!?

i gotta say, for something thats often referred to as weed alot of strains commonly available today seem very fragile. exact nutes, perfect lighting, precise watering schedule...ive seen orchids with more resiliency than some of these strains. i want seeds i can plant in the dirt and get some good smokeable bud 2-3 months later as a result of plain old sun, water and dirt. same process as my tomato plants, same as my eggplants and peppers etc.

lets hear it. what are your favorite sativa dominant and indica dominant cannabis strains that appear to thrive on neglect? unkillable, happy to take whatever's given (or not given).

Fun fact: Orchids, like any plant, are easy to grow in the right environment. Your problem isn't primadonna plants, it's matching the plant to your environment.

Maybe stay away from OG Kush -based strains?

One I did recently that was sooooo easy to grow was Hemlock (Durban poison X LA confidential) from Reserva Privada CO. Fat buds on a healthy plant, made me feel like a pro growing this one haha.

it takes time but grow wide diversity of plants, pick your favorites, cross-breed, after several generations of making your own seeds in your own environment they will become easier and easier to grow, look up epigenetics. I am having the best luck with my plants that were bred in my environment for several years.

Mango Haze! Mendecino Skunk is mould resistant. Varieties from Northern Cal should be good cos it rains like buggery there a lot of the time ...

Dinafem- Power Kush, grew super easy, set and forget plant. DNA - L.A. Confidential, super easy to grow, can handle high amounts of food. Delicious seeds- Critical Nevile's Haze, another super easy to grow var, can handle drought easily. Those were a few of the most forgiving I have grown. Plenty more I can list if you'd like.

I agree with newbert's sentiment about wanting a seed you can stick in the ground, water once in a while and pull flower off of when they time comes without sweating it out too much.
Thats why I'm not too courteous to my own plants and why I make my own seeds in the environment I want them to behave in. Seeds made indoors were necessarily selected for indoor performance, if they do OK outside its an accident.
